Title: Very interesting weekend ahead
Post by: Woody on December 15, 2018, 06:02:22 AM
Guisborough vs Crocs

Guis are a much stronger team at home and I feel they will score atleast 20 points, the question is will Crocs have the patients to ride the storm and come away with the win. My mind says yes they will, my says they won’t.

Keighly vs Dinno.

Both teams wanting to move up the league. Keighly with a few experienced players back should be able to get the home win. Dinno to put up a good fight, close game ahead.

Middlesborough vs Bradford

This will be a very competitive game. Middlesborough will to stop their recent drop in the league table. Will they have their starting team, do they ever have their starting team? Bradford are a strong side with a lot of spirit and will see this fixture as a scalp. I predict a +7 win for Bradford.

Moortown- Beverly.

If Beverly lose this they will be pushed further towards the bottom half of the table. A lot to fight for. Moortown will be confident and perhaps they may cause them to become complacent? With Beverlys attacking ability , they will be punished if they switch off. However, I predict a close win for Moortown, they are top of the league for a reason and will be hard to beat even if they have an off day.

Old Brods vs Hull.

Brods on a 3 game losing streak and hull on a 4 game losing streak. I predict a high scoring game with such leaky defences. However, I feel Brods should score enough to win this one. Just about.

Ponte vs rish

Having just missed out on a win vs Moortown Ponte look favourites coming into this game. Although if Rishes 10 can control the game and use Pontes wide pitch then they may be able to scrape a wiin. However I feel Pontes forward will be too powerful. Looking forward to this result the most.

Selby vs Heath.

Having only narrowly lost their last three games Selby will be excited about this game. A chance to take a scalp, a chance to repeat last years victory over a top of the table side. Heath will recognise this as a potential banana skin I am sure. If Heath can remain focused they should come away with the win.

Best of luck all teams.

Guis pitch is frozen now, and no prospect of thaw. Boro are down at sea level - it is prob mild and sunny down there - we are up in Cleveland Hills. Snow f'cast for later.

Seems it is as bad in Fax as Guis - Brods off and Crocs said ours would have been off if at their ground.
Clubs at sea level are probably OK.
It's cold up in them hills.

Middlesbrough pitch was in good nick, the lads all had a good training session on it. It was Salems bus that broke down

Ha ha - the old broken bus routine. You can't play that card too often but you might as well when half your team are missing ????????????

It wasn't frozen then?

Guisborough pitch was solid along most of the left handside touchline as well as through the middle.

We had a similar situation last season against Gateshead. Where if the sun had been out it would have thawed in time for the game, however after Gateshead had travelled down the referee deemed the pitch unplayable.

Considering the distance between Old Crocs and Guis a call had to be made early. It's a good job as the thaw didnt come.

RFU website has us down to play this game again on Saturday. Not sure if this whether this is set in stone
