Title: Results 8th Feb

A great bonus point win at Yawnbury whose backs are anything but tired looking. Our forwards took them apart in the loose and gave a lesson in how to keep possession. Not pretty at times but mightily effective. Sometimes you just have to play to your strengths. Home 15 looked a very good player and will probably move on up next year. Usual reception as well as the personal verbal tirade to me from a volunteer relating to a "Tongue in cheek" comment I posted over two years ago relating to a postponed game. I have only one thing to say to that gentleman.
PLEASE CHILL OUT.
The win moves us up the league again and we are now feeling much safer but far from complacent.

A game of 2 halves over in Copley as Old Rishworthians welcomed Hegians for a top of the table clash!

Hegians came out of the blocks firing and put Rish under considerable pressure throughout the first 40 minutes with their forward pack sticking to an effective pick & go game plan allowing their backline to execute well....supposedly the best half of rugby they have produced this year according to their linesman.

Rish then re-grouped at half time and increased the speed of their play putting the Hegians pack under pressure as they began to tire after a solid first half. This allowed Rish back in to the game and they managed to score 4 tries in the second half, the final try coming right on the stroke of full-time with Rish needing to convert to clinch the second bonus point which they did in style.

A very competitive game of rugby and most definitely the best 2 teams in Yorkshire 1 by some distance. Hegians will be pleased with their first half display and Rish will be relatively happy coming away with 2 bonus points. The top spot is still all to play for though as we come to the final quarter of the season with both teams still having to get through some tricky fixtures.
