So Brid are now champions. I can see them perhaps losing a couple in the run in but they won't be caught. Have fun in the league above. I think you'll do well up there, most clubs from Y1 are fine and you will be.
2nd place is between West Leeds and York. Both have similar run ins and both are playing well. On the basis that York maybe have the very slightly harder run in and that they generally can lose games they should win, I would go for West Leeds to make 2nd.
Everyone else down to the bottom four are playing for pride and the enjoyment of rugby. I often think it says a lot about players how they perform in the last half dozen games when they are out of the running. You can have a fair idea of who will have the fight needed for the next season by how they perform when only personal, team and club pride matters.
As for the bottom. Acklam are down. They will finish last. North Ribb, Selby and Yarnbury all have remarkably similar run ins. So I'm not going to call who will finish second bottom as it's so tight. All three of them of capable of staying up. Certainly Yarnbury and North Ribb have suffered from lots of injuries, I'm not sure about Selby player situation. There will be lots of twists and turns at the bottom before the table is settled. I have a feeling that, like last year, Selby will need to beat Scarborough on the last game of the season to stay up. Sail By provided the funds for us to treat them to a victory last year but the price has gone up as we will be throwing a home game! Better get the collecting tin out boys!

Brid will have to suffer a major decline to not be champions.
Runners up now between West Leeds and York, BRB did not factor in the cups.
West Leeds are still in the national cup and Brid and York meet in the shield quarter final next week. I would suggest the winners of the Brid York game will be shield favourites.
Middlesboro are already thru and the other two quarter finals are Ponte v Wetherby and Wath v Selby.
Will Selby be up for more shield games or will they want to concentrate on Y1 survival.
Looking at the remaining fixtures I don't think Acklam will win again this season. I think the other relevant relegation spot will be decided by one unexpected result against a mid table team coasting to the end of the season.

Teams don't rest players for crucial league games at this level, so Selby, as every year, will be taking the Yorkshire Shield game next week as seriously as they always do. A good run of form and a series of home games could be the difference between playing Y1 or Y2 next year. Selby have a number of home games which they have to be targeting for points, non more so than North Ribblesdale, which could be classed as a 'must win' fixture, even though winning it might not guarantee survival

Bridlington champions West Leeds to finish runners up above fallible York Acklam doomed despite a brave effort Yarnbury will probably get another win and a few bonus points to be safe So relegation seems to be between us & Selby Difficult for us next against an improving Heath We are capable of beating Scarbs at home Can't see Selby picking up many more points but our horrendous record on the road may see them pick up a win That would leave us needing a home win against either York or West Leeds (hopefully they will have secured a play off place & another trip to Twickenham)

I've my fingers crossed for you pal.
Can't believe we are in with a shout. York have been best team we've played this year. I don't know how they keep messing up but I hope they have a couple more in them. I've a feeling we might need it.
Lots changed since start of the season. Ribb/Heath at our pace looked like nailed on relegation sides. Then we have fight of our lives at Heath. So no gimmes left.
It occurs to me. When pitches dry out. If York finished strong we could win all our remaining games and still not go up. Will be watching the BP keenly.

Whilst Brid are not absolute certainties yet to win the league assuming they do then the second spot is West Leeds to lose York very good side but fixtures left and consistency probably favour Leeds but who knows in Yorkshire One anything can happen .
