Title: Predictions 16/9/17
Post by: Fax 20 on September 11, 2017, 09:55:51 PM
Bramley v Burley- Bramley to bounce back at home after last weeks defeat.
Knaresbourgh v Halifax - hoping to continue, where we left off. We do know knares have a great 10 and big mobile pack.... hope we travel well, could be a close one.
Wibsey v Thirsk - Wibsey won't lose many at home

Mosborough v Hessle - always Mos at home, hardest away game.... hopefully their 6 has retired!
Ossett v York - Ossett good at home, wound not be surprised by a draw.
Sheffield v Rotherham - Rott look to have started well, backing a big away win.
Stanley v Rossington - Home advantage.

Bramley v Burley - Bramley but in a tight game that could go either way

Ossett v York- Ossett, but another tight game that could go either way
Sheffield Oaks v Rotherham Phoenix - Rotherham comfortably, cant see them losing many at all this season
Stanley Rods v Rossington - Rods will have too much at home for Rossington

Again I will avoid burley v Bramley ps its at Burley due to bufffs at Bramleys ground

Knarsbrough at home let's see how Halifax travel

Wibsey at home by 15

Mossborough at home by 10

Ossett given home advantage in the farmers field. Good test for York

Rotherham all the way 20 +

Rods at home hope Rossington turn up. Last season didn't see many away fixtures completed.

No one can say they were weak. Aim sure they will get a few back in the next few weak. Teams just need to not play to there strengths !

Can you really call them week and "lucky" if you lose? from what i can gather, if youre beaten by wibsey who are missing key players then doesnt that put the onus on the losing team and commending a team who won against the odds for their endeavour? Having played for Wibsey in the past i know they have some handy players and i think should start doing well moving forward

Maybe it's just the fact both teams were poor on the day but wicket came away with the result ?
Heard wibsey lost a few players to other sides in Bradford. Always going to happen after such a good season

We lost out first choice 10-12, two other backs and our main line out man to injury, 3 lads played injured, played appalling rugby and scraped a win. To call us weak is laughable, but at least it will help with the team talk for the reverse fixture.

Good response naughty boy I wouldn't worry about the reverse fixture. Have you got the same side together as last season or have you lost a few or gained a few. I think your boys be right up there

We lost our hooker a centre and a winger , but gained a prop, a 10 and an outside back.

We hope to be up there, The club was on its knees not so long ago, so maybe it's too early for Y3 but where definitely not here just to make up the numbers.

Big lad who talked a lot. he's apparently had an offer he can't refuse from Halifax. Great player on his day. We wish him well.

Last we heard from him a club in the Halifax area had made him an offer.

He could be a loss but so could the hooker key position
With reinforcements you will be fine should be competitive season. I think we will be right up there along with wibsey and Burnley maybe Halifax or bramley

Played many times against wibsey and remember the years where it was almost a guaranteed 5 point win if wibsey could even get a team together. Good to see the team stick to together and become a competitive side once again.

Bramley v Burley- Burley, Strong pack, will use that hilly pitch with effect
Knaresbourgh v Halifax - Knaresborough, new boys hoping to make a big impression
Wibsey v Thirsk - Wibsey, will probably put at least 20 passed Thirsk.

As in an offer from Halifax in this league?? If so the worlds gone mad!

Write Knaresborough off At your peril. Recruited very well. Keep the pre season side together and they will be closer to top 2 than bottom 2.

"Had an offer he can't refuse from Halifax" ... Hahahahaha!

The world has only gone mad if people want to jump to conclusions.

We went down the paid route back in the day and ended up on our ass and having to rebuild from Yorkshire Six. We've now got a squad of local lads who play for the badge and their mates, not for an envelope in their boot.

Time will tell lads...... this time tomorrow we will know, how good the fancied knaresbough are and if the written off Halifax will be bottom end!
As for Chris, he will be an assist to Halifax and if he wants to coach a little, what's wrong with that?
As for getting paid, it's a straight NO.
He will pay to play at Fax like everyone else does, including our DOR and player coaches.

I reckon the close game will be knares  fax and the blow out game will be rotherham oaks game (cant see rotherham losing many games first half of season)

I'm surprised at oaks poor start. Agree that knaresborough vs fax will be close, I bet it's the best game to watch, both sides will score points this year

When oaks came to Corinthians for pre-season friendly they were very weak, not sure if they were missing players but if they weren't then they will struggle this year.

Weak i heard that there weak pack smashed your lot back 20 or so metres from a line out catch and drive, maybe you should look at yourself before calling out others

Ossett 47 a York ri 7
Scrum was even enough. We dominated the lineout and they could break us down. They tired in the second half and we kept going to open the scoring to what it was.

Well don't know what thoughts on today's game but our lads  were great in first half all fax second half but we kept our nerve and held on to the win.
Is this player that seems to be the topic of choice the winger at Halifax.
If this is the case he full of gob but seemed to be the thing that kept halifax in the game.
How were the other games

Knaresborough deserved winners after the first half.
If that starting 15 travel, they will go unbeaten, however we know they won't.
Fast and quality back line.... didn't look local lads!
Very much our forwards against Knaresboroughs backs,  when our influential 10 went off after 20 minutes.
Best 9 I've seen in a long time, very disappointed with the way their backs  constantly gobbled off, not what I have come to expect from knareborough.
I hope the club put that right, because they are very good, also great hospitality and good fun after the game.
