Middlesbrough 10 v Wath 15

Well done lads!

Must give credit to OG's, really feel for them in their predicament.
Turned up with 10 and at least a set of lads had a game, which was played in the true spirit of rugby.
Cannot believe that our centre got injured but hopefully nothing too serious.

Plus point - 20 minute half's meant more drinking time after the match!

As a neutral I enjoyed the Wath Salem game.

A good game to watch, some good and bad stuff from both sides.

Wath beginning to find their feet with a changed team, some good perfomances from some of the young lads starting their senior rugby careers.

Played on the small pitch across the road. Wath have improved from last season with a number of players returning to the club. Contrasting styles of play Wath playing the power game and Salem a fluid running game.

Think Wath will be a force in Y2 this year if their pack stay healthy. Salem will be ok in Y1 mid table I would think. I like the way Salem look to off load in the tackle and keep the ball alive.

If this game is typical I expect to see some good rugby team in both Y1 and Y2 this season.

Great result for Wetherby what some of side down did Keighley have?
I'd go along with the above.
Strangely out of sorts performance from us but the best team won on the day.

A true gentleman. A great ambassador for Yorkshire rugby. Wath RUFC President for decades and past Yorkshire President.
At our AGM last Wednesday he was his usual "bright as a button" self.
Will be missed by many.
Sleep tight Phil, God bless

Why not allow clubs with a 2's to enter Yorkshire Leagues with the rule that there must always be 2 levels between 1's and 2's.

Eg, 1st team in Y1 have their 2's limited to Y3

So for strong 2's - Wharfedale, their 2's enter league at Y2 with the rule they climb no higher than Nat 3.

By eck that was a to and fro game!

At half time thought Sheffield were going to run away with it but fair play to KL they wouldn't lie down and when they got back to within a point I thought it was going to be their day.

Just the way a play off game should be.

Fantastic setting to boot!

I'm told that a draw was a fair result at Wath. The only other  thing I was told was "their supporters were so foul mouthed and abusive their Chairman had to apologise". Interesting but a sad reflection of a number clubs now...

Get back on that stone you clown. Pass comment when you're present, but make it an honest comment. Idiot.

The usual "we are great, every other team is garbage" synopsis from BRB again. Lets hope you don't slip down from that lofty height after a whole 2 weeks! Because there could well be a few ready to rub your snout in it.

Just remind me on your league position for the last 2 season's fella?

Cant see Wath being at top end of Y1. Hope it was a off day because you guys were awful, would be interested to know the positives in a 40+ - 0 home loss.

Obtain a grip fella! £40 a week - EVERY man, and no not my words!!

Good luck, hope N1E delivers all you want for the coming season. Good luck!
