York v Wibsey- York seemed to have come good but carnt see Wibsey losing top spot
Bramley v Ossett - tough game at home but hope we are on form big crowd expected both teams at home .
Mos v knares - think knares will have too much for but travel might mean a few missing for knares
Hessle v LMD - Hessle should have a side at home and have too much for LMD at home !

Rods v Thirsk - Thirsk by 9
Oaks v Burley - burley or AWO
Stocks v fax - stocks at home

That a good write up and win for Wibsey.
Did Ossett get anyone sent off? The pictures look like a defo sending off swinging arm.

so Wibsey had 2 sent off ? and nobody from ossett .
if that's the case Wibsey have done well to win with 13 players , sounds a bit niggley .
Bramley played Goole 2nds  in a friendly and came away with a win against a good side

Tie of the round goes to
Wibsey v Ossett - home advantage might swing it , but I fancy Ossett to keep that 100% record
Knarsbrough v York - going for home win here difficult at home
LMD v Mosbrough - haven't seen anything that will stop another home win ,unless school holidays have started.
Unfortunately our game against Hessle has been postponed for another day .

I beleave we are staying the same next year - too late
But I think the lower divisions are going to be run by the clubs / Yorkshire and decide what we want to do and not the RFU . Which has to be a better idea all round.

Carnt disagree really .
3 week off didn't do any teams any good ,both Bramley and Mosbrough were below par!
Hessle next week for us , we usually have a good crack with the lads.

Looking forward to see how the 2 divisions fair up in the playoffs.
Also see who comes back best from a few week off.

Hessle v Wibsey - interesting to see how Wibsey travel , but Wibsey to win by 10
Mos v Bramley - should be a good test never been to mos
Ossett v  Knarsbrough - Ossett to win again knaresbrough a different package at home.
RI v LMD - going to take medics away win

Shield
Trees v Thirsk - think Thirsk will edge it
Oaks v Halifax - hope oaks put out a side and contest but have to go with halifax
Stocks v burley - on paper this should be the final but home win this time

Carnt see the Wibsey pitch been playable , but iam sure Wibsey will be up for it.
How well will Wensleydale travel and have the desire to win.
Will go for a home win

Other Senior Rugby / Re: RFU North Review
« on: January 25, 2019, 06:08:26 PM »
I attended the central meeting , iam glad to see that other areas could see some dodgy facts and figures directing what the RFU want.
But from a level 10 club all we want is regular fixtures without nearly a month without a fixture along with other missing weeks .once you have a gap then players wonder and often never seen again .
You carnt fit all levels in one bag that will suite all . We just want a level playing field and competitive games to make the game grow

Iam not keen on that idea !
All I can see is teams with 3 or 4 sides who play n the higher leagues get stronger and there 2nds already play at a higher level than the level 9 or 10 sides, so will probably get promoted.
Leaving the grass roots clubs who struggle with numbers to play never mind train . playing teams and getting heavily beaten week in week out will end up falling by the way side and been lost for ever.
Not sure that's expanding the game and opening up rugby for all .
I would personally like to see more clubs coming back into league rugby like Wortley in the south. And  having more clubs to play rather than the established clubs 4th team in a division like Yorkshire 4 or 5 .

Great win for Bramley and showed real grit to come back from a try in the 78 minute and win with the last kick of the game
