Best Forwards? Probably Thorne and Dale two big packs, need to move them about to beat them.
Best Backs? Again think Thorne had some big runners, but to blow our own trumpets I think our backs are pretty handy.
Stand out Game? Winning the final although that is the cup. Best league game for me is ending Dale's big winning streak.
Top D*** of the Day candidates? Me getting charged down in front of the sticks.
Surprise package? Think Pythons have shocked everyone this year definitely didn't expect them to be competing for promotion and some impressive results.
Underachievers? Mods unfortunately, dead last and are actually a decent team when we've played them.
Predictions on Next Season? Think Otliensians will be looking to get straight back up along with Harrogate, Corinthians and yes I've cursed us but ourselves, hopefully keep the momentum going in to the new season.

Should be another cracking Yorkshire 3

Yorkshire 3 / Thorne V Harrogate

Big game tomorrow for both sides in a promotion decider! Interested to hear who people think will finish off the season in 2nd? Seen as the forum will be all but dead for a few months. I think Thorne definitely have the upper hand with home advantage and a 2 point lead in the table but it's not beyond Harrogate getting a result, although it would be some effort. Personally I think Thorne will clinch second spot.

Yorkshire 3 / Re: Well done Knottingley on the Yorkshire vase
« on: May 13, 2019, 02:09:17 PM »
Now the dust has settled I’d like to congratulate everybody on board the Knottingley juggernaut on their Yorkshire vase success. I’ve been watching this team over the last couple of seasons and it’s been a real pleasure seeing how the team has evolved. This team has struggled with consistency over the last couple of seasons due to their small squad size, several changes of coach, which they’ll admit did set them back a little, but it hasn’t stopped them marching on! The 2nd half of this season they’ve had some fantastic players join the club and now seem to have the depth they’ve longed for. I’m putting my neck on the line, I think they’ll top Yorkshire 3 next season if they keep the squad they’ve got. They have that hard metal and skill and flair that’s put away all teams they’ve locked horns with this year. In my honest opinion they’re only a class rugby union 10 short of being a comfortable Yorkshire 2 side if they can keep this squad and form they’ve shown in 2019, BRAVO all at Knottingley, in my eyes you deserve it!

Don't think I've ever heard such nice words come from Mud Pig, I'm shocked.

Cheers Fredsbar! It was a great game to be a part of with both teams controlling it at certain points. Thought it was two tough teams just throwing everything at it. We just managed to use that Ponte slope to our advantage in the second half clawing it back 22-13 but at 13-3 down we were all nervous at half time. Great credit to Leeds who are a good set of lads on and off the field. Must of been a decent amount there from my reckoning aswell would say 350+ at least and both fans created a brilliant atmosphere. Great game of rugby especially in the wet conditions.

Us Knottla lads do like a good Chardonnay Alf... But in seriousness we wouldn't turn anything down, can't see a trusty case of John Smith's going begging between the lads. Great gesture if you do!

As Wilko says probably Ponte and should be a great game aswell. On another note I notice Baildon beat Thorne 19-17 at the weekend, makes things interesting at the top!

Windswept witlesswood win for worms ..

Beachy bending it like beckham- some kick that curvaceous effort young man
Bez having a blinder (mom for me)
Seedy n Eadesy  like Carling and Guscott but much prettier by far .

Castleford well beaten probably their mom young Egan who kept trying t get them going ....

Not a big crowd about 150 I’d guess .... decent honest game though .

Thanks for the praise Alf! Didn't think I'd get one kick today in that bloody wind but managed to sneak a few over! Personally it was a great entertaining game to play in and nip and tuck at 29-21 in the second half but we managed to pull away in the end and seal the win. Looking forward to the final now and playing Leeds must have been another great game! Should be a Corker!

Should be two very good semi finals and I think anyone could win it on their day. It should be a great local derby against Cas and one I think all the lads are looking forward to and hopefully we can go on to win it. Think Wensleydale might just edge it in the other game, they've been consistent all season.
