Differs

disagree totally . I rationalise thus .. if you know the laws or rules or guidance and knowingly bend break or ignore them you are in the wrong . Getting pinged is your own fault don’t blame the referee . If he misses the offence ( bearing in mind he is watching all sorts at once as well as three dimensionally moving around the action and avoiding all contact with the players ) then you got away with it … to compare .. if you drive at 70 in a 30 and don’t get spotted you know darn well what you are doing .. don’t however blame the sneaky sod in a van should you actually get a speeding ticket … simples thinks me .

alternatively the players can get the tackles down , stop handling/holding on and backchatting ….dont even get into cheating at scrum time . just saying . watch a match video and you will see repeatedly the referees are correct . I watched a game yesterday where 4 head high shots with intent should have been yellows, plus a late high shoulder charge . If I was ref , which thank goodness am not . I would use the card to get the offenders  off and change behaviour . I suspect you havnt ever held the whistle ?? Don’t just blame the bloke in the middle -how can they improve if they aren’t assessed ??

there you go differs all correctly forecast so the league has settled down .

Paid a visit to Sunthorpe yesterday . Big lads over there and excellent stand off  .. they lost their way in first half by trying intimidation tactics with lots of high shots with intent, late tackles, off the ball niggles and holding on on the ground .. resulted in a straight red for a Scunthorpe player  punching ( two yards under refs nose so obvious correct decision) .. ultimately probably cost the home team the game .  Ponty well in front until last five minutes then scrambling to hold on . Tough place to visit .

I was astonished to discover that there is a Cside in Sunny .. the pitch is an awful muddy mess and they’ve dumped sand on it at one end .. looks a right donkeys Rs .

au contraire Differs  I think the league has settled …..my rationale …

afternoon teas to come second top of the table.. strong home and away v perfect performances on plastic but rubbish on rugby fields to come mid table home win for the biccy bunch

Gobbers and the bowling club heavy rollers lower mid table v phoenix in the dying embers bottom 4  big W for  Gobbers unfortunately today

faecal beach floating in top five against Clokehaton two good sides but one in bottom five. Turds today

Lord Snooty and the snottbubbles  mid table … they don’t like losing do they ? v Clifton’s Sunak support band .. York champs and win today ..

Sunthorpe ..bottom v Brick outhouse and the big bellies .. finish bottom 5… could be a draw but Ponty to nick it with a fast open five metre push over in last minute

Driffers lads top five and great bunch of blokes , best club to visit v  North by Norther.. mid table and a Driff W today in tight game ..

There’s not much between the teams and probs that’s how it will stay .. York and Harrogate top two with any from Sunny,Ponty,Donny, Clack,or Snoots to come bottom .. injuries and therefore quality squad depth will be the difference .. I hope Donny go down personally as the visit there is the worst experience possible .. just awful . sad and I don’t mean to be mean .

I’m off to visit the C side today not been for donkeys ….. heehaw

Slowers

didn’t know that … be nice if a few stopped behind to watch .. it’s a godforsaken place to visit otherwise . I’d take an entertaining chum to be on the safe side Differs .

See no sea in Sunthorpe  visit the side at the sea with a C .. Harry Potters castle by a few

The long and winding road to play on Plastic Ono’s poxy pitch for babbabeach..followed by hunt the hidden geordie in the haunted house .. hope Ilkey win but the plastic pitch advantage seems massive.

Clackers against bowlers .. tough mudder challenge here so you’d tip gobber and his fat lads for an away win.

Crowd of the day v Lord Snottgobbler - Uppisownars a tough buddha win for Ponty big boys.

Clifton Young Conservatives v Afternoon tea anyone ? polite draw..followed by speeches / port, mandatory Blazers and a quick spanking by matron before the cheese and broken biscuit buffet .

Differs lads hopefully win in the empty cavern down South .. if you’re expecting an ‘occasion ‘ Differ take some mates … it’s a lovely pitch , amazing stand , just needs a rugby club somewhere close by ….

by debate I genuinely mean discuss .. not stand and have  a scrap .. John Fury .. I mean honestly I cannot follow your rationale about this at all . the old saying of play to the ref says it all .. he’s in charge , right or wrong, sane for  both sides accept the  decision's and crack on . I’m old fashioned I suppose but manners do maketh the man in my humble opinion . case closed here for me

Well said proppers

MK there is nothing abusive in my comment . I strongly disagree with your position that’s all .

I have played, coached , supported my own and other clubs officially and qualified as a very young bloke as a ref .. I’m not talking generic twaddle . there is a chronic shortage of refs.. if you aren’t aware then find out the truth ! No ref should be subjected to abuse and the job has got more and more unnatractive due to these modern societal behavioural patterns.

Good job you’re not a ref MK chucking the teddy out because someone disagrees with your position . I am absolutely prepared to stand anywhere and debate this issue .

If we don’t take the moral high ground we are going to have very serious problems with a lack of refs in the immediate future .

your comments say much about you .. the ref is right, even if he’s wrong . The ref is isolated during a game unlike the players and gormless barflies spouting their witless bile during most games these days . If the ref has decided his personal red line has been crossed then we should all support him … implicit . As for referencing homophobic and racial abuse .. there is zero difference between that and personal individual abuse .. none . Sorry dear boy but you really do need to watch another sport . You’re wrong … simple as …
