Hullensians v Wetherby - Wetherby should have to much for Hull, but could be a tricky banana skin. Away win
Leodiensian v Bradford & Bingley - Leos BP win, really can't see Bees winning away this season.
Old Rishworthian v Pocklington - Interesting game, both teams seem to be in a rut. Backing Old Rish to have regrouped after the rest week. Home win.
Wensleydale v Bradford Salem - Another really interesting game, back Dale to win at home. Salem like to bully teams upfront, think they will struggle to do that against Dale and I am not sure they have anything else in their arsenal. Home win.
West Leeds v Beverley - I imagine West Leeds will be looking to bounce back after their last game, think this could end up a cricket score to West Leeds. Home BP win.
Keighley v Harrogate Pythons - Keighley to continue Harrogate's pain. Home win.
Think Weth might be the only away win this week.

Bev vs Dale- Weather dependent this one, however I think Dale will have to much for Bev upfront, especially at scrum time. You can have the quickest backs in the world but if you don't win your set piece then you are going to loose. (This will be a running theme through these predictions.)
Bees V Keighley- Bees brought crashing back down to earth last week, more of the same this week. Keighley to win.
Salem V Rish- Another game that will be won in the pack, Salem to have to much for Rish upfront.
Pythons v Hull- Pythons pack to win them this basement battle.
Pock V Leos- Pocks pack to win them this mid table battle.
Weth V Leeds- Game of the season so far... really intrigued how this one will go. If reports are true then I am backing Weth's pack to win them this top of the table battle, I could be wrong though as heard reports that the Leeds pack are no mugs this season.
Bees V Keighley- Bees brought crashing back down to earth last week, more of the same this week. Keighley to win.
Salem V Rish- Another game that will be won in the pack, Salem to have to much for Rish upfront.

Interesting set of results, looks like it is becoming a two horse race.
Wetherby V West Leeds will be interesting next week.
Would be intrigued to hear how the Wensleydale/West Leeds game went at scrum time, might shed some light about next weeks encounter.

The team that lost to Bees V Weth - Pythons should be packing up their bags and setting sail for Yorkshire 2 after last weekends result... Can't see anything but an emphatic win for Wetherby to keep pressure on the top of the league. Away BP win.
Hull V Bees - Bees to crash back down to earth against Yorkshire One competition, especially as Hull seem to have pulled their season around after a poor start. Home win, Away LBP.
Keighley V Pock - What's happened at Keighley, the mast has fallen off and they are stuck in mid table obscurity. I am backing Pock to end Keighley's home record, but only just. Away win, home LBP.
Leos V Salem - Leos are my dark horses this year, especially at home. Backing them to beat the mercenaries on their bog. Home BP win.
Old Rish V Beverly - Could go either way this one, if they can dredge the bog going for a home win.
Dale V West Leeds - I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the Old Rish match report, not a mention of their lighting quick backs but just a lot of chat about scrum dominance. Are Old Rish just that bad at scrum time or have West Leeds been eating their pies? Guess we'll find out on Saturday... Going for an away win if the weather holds fair.

Bev vs Leo's -Leos should have to much for Bev, who's struggles are far from over, despite the return of their talisman, as they have a really tough couple of weeks leading to Christmas.
Bee's vs Gate - Interesting rehearsal for next seasons top of Y2 clash... Harrogate should have to much in the back line for Bees, away win.
Salem vs Keighley - Tough one to call, Salem have been all over the place with some great results but also some shocks, back them to pull it together at home and beat Keighley, who have apparently struggled up front this season.
Pock vs Ensians - Pock, Hull haven't seemed to be able to string any kind of performance away from home.
Weth vs Dale - Game of the day, Wetherby to win and keep applying pressure to the top of the table.
WL vs Rish - West Leeds to bounce back, can't see anyone winning at their place this year.

« on: October 16, 2023, 10:16:26 AM »Bee's vs Weth - Easy win for Wetherby here, going for a 30 plus margin.
Pythons vs Pock - Tough one to call, going for Pock's experience to see them through, but only just.
Ensians vs Salem - Hope Salem are getting a bonus for going all the way to Hull! Away win but I wouldn't be surprised if Hull get a loosing BP
Keighley vs Beavers - Apparently Keighley didn't fire a single shot this week, so expect them to be keen to bounce back, especially with their returning players, could get ugly for an out of sorts Bev team. Big home win.
Leo's vs Leeds - Should be a routine away win for the form team in the division, Away BP win.
Old Rish vs Dale - Old Rish seem to be blowing hot and cold, so following the pattern I back them to win here. Home win.

There isn't much difference in loosing at home or away.... why make the loosing streak one game longer than it has to be

« on: October 03, 2023, 04:11:41 PM »Bev V Hullensians- Both sides are really struggling this year, I think this might be a drab affair especially in the rain. Home advantage to come up trumps. Bev but only just.Looks like you haven't seen the latest Disc Panel report then.
Salem V Harrogate- Going to be a battle upfront, with that in mind and Salem's disciplinary record I think Harrogate will record their second win of the season to pile on the misery down at Shay lane.
Pock V Bees- Don't think Pock are anything special and have a couple of seasons in Y1 ahead of them, that in mind can't see anything beyond a home BP win.
Wensleydale V Leos- Leos seem to be all over the place this season, I can't imagine they will travel well and Dale seems to be a tough place to travel at the best of time. Home win.
W Leeds V Keighley- First big test for West Leeds and should be a great game, I think if the West Leeds pack can stay in the fight, their back line will shred Keighley apart. Having watched some clips of both teams, I think their pack will roll with the punches, so I'm going with a home win, both teams to get bonus points.
Wetherby vs Rish- Another great game, Old Rish seem to be blowing hot and cold and Wetherby is a tough place to go. The Wetherby pack to beat Rish up front and secure a narrow home win.
Looks like you haven’t read your own sides match report then.
I think your head coach described keeping a full compliment on the field as your achilles heal…
If only the Disc Panel report showed yellow cards…

Dread to think how much they paid their new inside centre today… to only beat Bees by 7.

Bradford & Bingley v Bradford Salem - Bees won't win one this year. Salem to get 5 points away from home.
Harrogate Pythons v Beverley - Reading the West Leeds Match report, it sounds like Pythons ran them close. I back them to get their first win at home, against a struggling Bev side.
Hullensians v West Leeds - Can't see West Leeds not getting a bonus point win here.
Keighley v Wensleydale - Match of the day I reckon, intriguing result and will be a real test for Dale. I think this will be a low scoring game, and back Keighley to get a narrow win at home.
Pocklington v Wetherby - Think Wetherby will have to much upfront for Pock, who have been inconsistent so far. Bonus points all around.
Leodiensian v Old Rishworthians - Leos seem to be all over the place so far this season. Old Rish to secure a bonus point win away from home.

Bees V West Leeds - Can only see one outcome, West Leeds to win by a cricket score.
Salem V Wetherby - Both teams have won one lost one, will be interesting to see how they guage up against each other, back Salem to win at home. Imagine the win against Bev will give them a much needed boost after the opening week disapointment.
Pythons V Wenslydale - Pythons will be desperate for their first win and imagine they will be targeting this, Home win but by the finest of margins.
Keighley V Leos - Leos have suprised me so far, could see the 4g pitch suiting them, going for a surprise away win here.
Pocklington V Bev- Pock will want to put last week right, by all accounts Bev are struggling this year at fly half. Think their struggles will continue, healthy home win.
Hullensians V Old Rish- Big test for Old Rish who have had two relatively easy games to start their campaign, think they will win but maybe not pick up the bonus point.
Salem V Wetherby - Both teams have won one lost one, will be interesting to see how they guage up against each other, back Salem to win at home. Imagine the win against Bev will give them a much needed boost after the opening week disapointment.

Great result for West Leeds at home to Pock, i was expecting the older lads at WL to struggle more than most to addapt to the new tackle law but from the first two weeks results they are in danger of putting themselves into the favourites slot for the league. And finaly what a result for Salem away at Beverley dont think many people would have seen that one.
Wouldn't want to be a Bee's player next week, fear it might end up a cricket score. Have heard that the West Leeds backline is very dangerous this year.

Bev V Salem - Both sides will be hurting from last week, but I think Bev should have to much for Salem in the back line especially in this weather.
Leos V Hullensians -Hullensians were unlucky not to win last week and I think they will have to much for Leos, especially if they can keep 15 on the field.
Wensleydale V Bees - A team used to winning v a team used to loosing... Wensleydale to win comfortably at home.
West Leeds V Pock - Reckon the game of the week, and we should know more about both teams on Sunday. Think Pock might have to much fire power for West Leeds. Narrow away win.
Wetherby V Keighley - Wetherby should win at home here, think last weeks victory flattered Keighley if the highlights were anything to go by.
Old Rish V Pythons - Could see another big win here for Old Rish at home, bonus point territory by half time.
