avinastella, if you did your homework you will have seen that one of those lads actually went to Wharfedale and has now returned to his home club!
Great lad.

Morning Insider,

I agree with you on freedom of speech and would never discourage people from posting. I merely gave my opinion on how the majority of Selby supporters feel about the game today.

I don't get down much as I watch a lot of national league but the thought of watching this tasty fixture and catching up with some old players enthuses me.
Also let's not forget both Gary Wakes and Tommy Burton, who I played with, and the  trophies that are dedicated in their name.

I still have a little adrenaline flowing this morning but chose to keep within myself.

So come and seek me out today and we can share a pint...one winning and one losing!!

Winning games is hard enough for the lads without a club member fueling up the opposition.
I appreciate that this could be seen as "banter" but I think that I can say that the majority of Selby supporters do not associate with the views of Talk is Cheap.

I will be visiting Sandhill Lane for the first time for a while tomorrow to catch up with both Selby and Goole supporters.  And I bet you one thing...it will be a blooming close game!!

Here's to a great day of local rugby!!

Think Selby put 4 teams out with subs today. 1st, 2nds and 3rds against Goole next week.

Give yourselves a massive pat on the back for making this happen. It doesn't work without a lot of hard work in the background 👏

Let's not forget that the grass roots part of rugby is all about getting young boys and girls playing out game.

Therefore base the statement on what a club does for kids not on how they run their senior team.

Sorry, but don't watch enough.
But deeply care about community rugby!!

Fantastic achievement 👏
Just been to Selby and think they have 4 out this week also, plus ladies on Sunday.
As you say we really should celebrate this and keep striving to provide a great place to play community rugby.

I was also at Selby yesterday watching the young swans for the first time this year.
I thought Moortown were very good with their 10 the player of the match, a very clever player who could play a lot higher. He kicked everything and organised a very sluggish pack around the field. However, they could not match the pace and enthusiasm of a young Selby team that just kept on playing a 15 man game.
Great atmosphere with a big crowd on ladies’ day.

Trust me we really should celebrate this type of rugby with healthy crowds as a lot of clubs higher in the leagues would kill for an atmosphere like that!!

Massive wins for Goole and Selby.
Will the new tackle law open up the game to these free flowing teams?

"And lets not lose sight of the original comment. A bit of a slur with nothing to back it up."...Agreed!!

Show me that you assessed the session??
A question always asked after an incident.

Only one way is to follow the guidance and do a risk assessment and document it, even if non contact.

There are forms to fill in and strict rules to apply for a junior to even train with senior teams. I suggest people download them off the rfu website before there is an issue.

Anyone submitted injury data to compile the stats in the video re community game?

Unfortunately I was not there and last nights comment was a bit beer fuelled lol. However after seeing the squad selected it is a group of young Selby lads who are just enjoying rugby together, long may this last.

Hopefully get to see them soon!
