Yorkshire 1 / Scores and Updates.

Big day ahead, all eyes on the Heath v Moortown game. Two teams expecting to be up there at the end of the season so its a chance to steal some points off the opposition. I expect Heath to take the points.

Middlesbrough travel to Old Crossleyans, a team bigging themselves up in defence and a lot of people expecting them to turn Boro over,  however they havent played a team who finished in the top 7 last season so its probably their first real test. Middlesbrough travelling without 9 regular first team players but they have a good depth in the squad.

Salem v Brods should be a good game, Salem is a difficult place to go. I think this game all depends on the weather. If it gets wet i reckon a Salem win, if it stays dry i reckon a Brods win.

Can Keighley finally pick some points up?

Hullensians v Pontefract is also another tough game, both sides will try and dominate in the forwards. Ponte have an experienced 10 while Hullensians have “the best winger in the league” according to the man himself...

Yorkshire 1 / All eyes on Scarborough
« on: April 20, 2018, 06:54:33 PM »
With the big game over in Halifax this weekend between Heath and Middlesbrough. Scarborough will be wanting to finish the season on a high. They will surely be expecting to take away the win as Keighley have nothing to play for and will probably have been out enjoying the sunshine the past few days rather than training. Keighley have struggled to cope with the pace of Yorkshire 1 this season and im sure Scarborough will stretch them all over the park. With this win in the bag, Scarborough will be hoping for a Middlesbrough win over at Heath. This game is sure to be a brilliant game but looking at the team sheet Middlesbrough are without Andy Baggett and Pete Homan. The 10/12 combination that has worked brilliantly this season and It will be hard for Middlesbrough to get a win without these two playing. So will Heath get 2nd???

Its all to play for!

Yorkshire 1 / Hullensians Boot Brush
« on: February 18, 2018, 08:24:27 PM »
Why, oh why do Hullensians have a boot brush on the playing side of the barriers? Middlesbrough have a player who has made a covering tackle and clashed with the barriers on the side of the field. He clashed with the apparatus of a boot brush to scrape the players boots. He had to go to hospital in Beverley to have stitches on a 4” wound on his shin and has now been ruled out for a minimum of two weeks to add to the ever growing unavailabilities at Middlesbrough RUFC.

Surely this needs to be moved andi hope itsdone promptly just for the safety of the players. Why is it not against the club house?

Yorkshire 1 / Preview

Hows it looking folks? Hows the weather in the lower and wider regions of Yorkshire? Any games looking at risk?

Sadly not going to be able to make the trip over to Old Brods tomorrow which will sure to be a good game. Middlesbrough not having a good run as of late with more and more players Unavailable. This week players called up to County Duties and more Unavailabilities which means there are 19 players that werent available for selection, yet still a pretty strong team to be travelling with.

Yorkshire 1 / One man Middlesbrough beat York
« on: January 20, 2018, 04:21:48 PM »
The so called one man team beat York without their one man. Pete broke his collarbone in the first five minutes and we wish him a speedy recovery. The game was a close contest and finally glad to get the win when othertimes we have just missed out. It was a close contest and a great game to watch.

Yorkshire 1 / England 6 Nations Squad - Y1 player
« on: January 18, 2018, 09:20:54 AM »
Its brilliant to see Lewis Boyce the Harlequins Prop Forward has been selected for the England 6 Nations Squad.
The lad came through the Middlesbrough junior section and was always an inspiration to his team mates, although he was a 2nd Row at middlesbrough. He has always been a beast of a lad since he was 12 years old and the future is looking good for the young lad.
