Other Senior Rugby / Re: Segregation at RWC

The problem is that big tournaments like this don't just attract rugby union fans, who might act differently and get carried away. I think it's more about saving money on security and policing for the odd few trouble makers and the organizers don't understand what rugby is all about.

Powdered alcohol (just add water) has been legalized in The States too, it might be legal here by the time The RWC comes around, which would make it easier to smuggle alcohol into stadiums and that has it's impact on safety in stadiums.

I still think it would have a massive impact on the atmosphere though and it should stay mixed.

Ensians vs Yarnbury - Ensians win, but a close game. Unsure of final score but a great game to play in and Yarnbury 2's played out of their skin - They would challenge a lot of 1st teams.

Well reffed too, made it an exciting and fast flowing game to play in.

40 - 22 I have been told, but was very close despite the score.

Best of luck Mark, having played Skipton in the AW Cup they are a good team with some great talent and with you at the helm they will be a dangerous side to play next season. Sounds like it will make a good away fixture for anyone playing them next season though.

Will we see you at any sevens tournaments this year? Will it be in the beer tent or on the pitch?

Ensians vs York - Sorry York, but rebound Ensians by 30

Humbled by you finally backing us Ye Olde!

This was our 1st game of the season which we drew.

So I think it's safe to say we need to be switched on and not go in assuming that the game will be over by half time!

Brilliant - did u get a photo?

The ULTIMATE recovery drink

Well done yesterday Fax. As I said to most in the bar, you played well and had the right game plan. Can see you guys getting promoted next year if you play every game like that.

See what people think of other clubs

Best pitch - Ensians (Width and well looked after, suits us!) Out of the others though, has to be vandals (beautiful view)
Worst pitch - Ossett when we played them. Narrow, long walk (gotta save energy) and swimming in mud (plus the odd dog pitch invader in seasons past.) Suits their game though!
Best after match hospitality - Hornsea has an awesome club house, more like a country pub inside.
Worst after match hospitality - Ossett... no protein shakes :p
Best food - Mosborough, can't beat pie and peas up north!
Worst food - Hornsea
Best team to play - Halifax, always in good spirit
Worst team to play and the reason - Stocksbridge (because I only got 20 minutes!)
Best ref - The guy that reffed us at Hornsea & Stocks We've had him a few times and he refs the breakdown well and talks to players.
Worst ref - The entire Corinthians team and fans, have an ability to bully the ref! Seriously though, York RI, only because he binned me in the 2nd team Leeds Varsity last year (which we lost by a try when I was off!)
Best game of your season - Mosborough (only one I've scored in!)

As I said earlier, the lady who came on wasn't a problem - she was looking to help out our centre.
My issues were whoever the spectator was, regardless of circumstances you just don't enter the field of play for any reason - especially to punch people.
And your huge guy who always looked to intentionally hurt people. He's absolutely massive and could quite easily smash most folk fairly and be a feared player.

3rd point - Dench, if you're the kid who came on after 5 or 10 minutes onto the right wing, I'm not surprised you've bagged as many tries as you have this season. Quality runner.

not one of my best games i have to say but thanks for the compliment :) this is my point exactly ensians boys and the ossett boys dont have a problem, i do love a bit of banter though! we just just put it down to it being "one of those things and let justice be served how the rfu see fit.

That was almost eloquent Jackson... who did you get to write it for you?

our 19 year old number 4 found himself on the receiving end from 2 of Ossetts older players

Number 5 pat.... I know I'm blessed with youthful beauty but it was a long time since I was 19 ;)

Sorry to hear that Joe, I'm sure you are bitterly disappointed as you are a great talent.

In rugby, as in life, when one door closes another one opens; maybe get some coaching/refereeing certs? We need more young referees in England and I could see you making a great understudy for OC so that you are involved for years to come.

Whatever you choose to do next, good luck and I hope to see you around next time our clubs meet.
