Just to update everyone.

the operation went as well as could be hoped for. Chris is back home (Saturday evening he was discharged) convalescing.

So far so good for his sister who is responding well to his immense gesture, fingers crossed going forward.

At a recent N1E match a reserve prop twisted his ankle in the warmup. Just one of those things.

However a certain opposition coach storms into the referees room squealing that his team should be awarded the points for the game before it has kicked off.

He was stamping his feet up and down claiming he had picked a team to scrummage the other team off the park and any chance of uncontested would disadvantage them. The ref brushed him off and told him to get on with the game.

As it happens the team with the injured sub went on to destroy the squealing coaches set scrum at every set piece!!

Schadenfreude!

So anyone care to guess which club the squealing coach is from??
Is it Morpeth? how many guesses do I get?

tremendous character shown by York in defence against a good PP side who haven't lost at home in the league for 3 seasons apparently. York were 100% better across the park than in previous weeks game. Unfortunately another serious injury that will warrant an operation (thats 10 ops this season) Sam Forbes compound fracture of thumb. if we can continue with these qualities we shall end mid table which will be a massive achievement given the woeful injury position

PP lost numerous times at home last season fyi
Well we know that now! but when posting I believe that Mr Stubbs was believing the hype from the PP win, I was told it was 2 years.

So I checked last years results which nailed the myth!

In any case it would be fair to say that a team that has lost so many to injury so far this season, pulled off an outstanding result at PP, a club that had not lost at home, so far this season.

Even the semi professional Globetrotters could only manage a draw!

Hopefully the York boys can repeat their top performance again this week against Malton!

BRB you do have a point about your away games.

I do think you will fall short at Morpeth and Driffield have already stuffed you at your place this season!

But I also think that Malton, Pocklington and York will also be desperate to derail Scarbars!

Reap what one's sows, springs to mind.

That said after this weekends results it shows that anyone is capable of beating anyone, on any given day.

Still think its Scarborough's to lose, its in their hands!

So is it going to be, Scarborough Rock or Candyfloss?

Chris is an outstanding player on the pitch and an outstanding man off it!

Hopefully his team mates will come together and deliver him just the tonic an away win at PP!

Nice hit from yesterday's match.... anyone any idea what the penalty is for???

https://twitter.com/Campbellrugby/status/1081929591151841281?s=09
The penalty was given against the Scarborough player in the scrum cap for failing to capatilise on the great hit and refusing secure a turn over by smashing the next Cleck player!
Punishable by firing squad at Passiondale!

Couldn't agree more Stubbs.
From a promising start to a relegation battle and with loss of Fox (their best player and the glue for this team) for probably the rest of the season, things are going to get worse before they get better.
My worry is that those I have spoken to players etc they are overly confident about their prospects going forward in my opinion. I think that they need to find a competitive formula and dig deep every game going forward.
With nailed on champions elect Scarborough and their closest rivals YM amongst the remaining home games, I can't see any joy there.
They have three difficult away trips to the NE, together with B and B, Cleck and Pock away.
So they have a real fight for survival on their hands!
I am just more than a bit worried that they may be sleep walking into the bottom 3!
Obviously I hope not , but unless they show some real intent to arrest the slide it is becoming inevitable on what I have seen recently.

I hope Malton give some of their up and coming young players a chance, that is of course if they have got any?

I am sure there will be a few disillusioned colts up for grabs at the Globetrotters if they cast their net!

Sounds like there was provocation! No player runs in throwing punches unless they are reacting to perceived foul play. Looks like the culprit who instigated the reaction went unpunished!
And as always the Pre match pxxx heads who chunter drivel from the balcony, claim innocence  for the Scarborough boys, as always!!
