Reasonable performance from Scarborough today. Up against the elements in the first half and whilst out scoring WH we made harder work of it than we should. Scarborough seemed superior in the backs with several midfield gains but continued to try to keep it in the forwards. We seem to have lost the ability to secure Quick ball away from the scrum or breakdown and take advantage of superior outside potential
Good to see Billy Parker back who had a great game but credit also to Luke Brown who yet again put a really good shift in over 80 minutes.
Also nice to see Drew back after a lengthy layoff
Looking forward to our train trip to York next week but can’t see any points coming from it
Your enthusiasm for telling us how you beat the next to bottom side in the league at the impressive Silver Royd is to be held
In awe by those who read your one sided drivel!!
Try reading it all (if you can). Whilst reporting on a Scarborough win it was not exactly a ringing endorsement.
Still waiting for your impartial measured report on Cleckheaton’s lucky win
See you are determined to let’s yourself and your club down again.
Maybe you can get an adult to explain  to you what “Cleck were well worth their win today! actually means.
If you are going to grace York with your presence next week and are partaking if the prematch lunch we could arrange a prime seat next to the function room very sizable windows and patio doors. So you don’t run out of things to lick whilst the adults enjoy themselves!!
Is that the best you can do?
Shall indeed be there next Saturday sadly not dining as you sold out before offering Scarborough supporters any opportunity.
I’m sure I’ll be able to recognize you as the one with the large chip on his shoulder and your knuckles scraping the ground

Yet again York let Dale Breakwell (10) dominate for Cleckheaton, possession and positional football exceptional, leading to 3 mauled tries by Clecks heavy weight forwards. He kicked conversions and penalties from all over in a tricky wind whilst York didn't convert one of their 4 tries. How is he not playing at least 2 leagues higher. Not a good day at the office for York although I did suggest earlier this week we may struggle with regular 9,10 and 12 and others out. Nice to see Scarborough back on track, should be a good game next week.  Suggest RH needs to include Yorks games back in pundits league.
All good until you commented on Scarborough....,,, 50 points plus win for York on the cards. Let’s not start the mind games already

I meant to add
Don’t like players diving on on try scorers especially leading with the knees....and that is aimed at Scarborough
Also don’t like backchat again aimed at Scarborough

Cleck well worth their win today. Will share my more in depth views later. I did think it was predictable as to how Cleck would play and I was right. York were clueless at times. But nothing taken away from the victors and their excellent 10!!
Can’t wait
Still desperate to display yourself on this forum as door furniture, I see!!!

Moortown 35 - 24 Scarborough

I had a quick ride through to Moortown today although it was a flying visit due to other commitments.

Moorown certainly deserve their victory and were always ahead of Scarborough on the day. However the Scarborough team that was put out battled for full eighty minutes and did well to stay in touch throughout.

it wasn't particularly helpful for us to pick up two more injuries today both in the forwards and including hyper influential former captain Matty Jones. Will have to wait to see how it serious these two players are injured.

it was good to see so many of the Scarborough injured contingent on the touchline supporting the boys, with a bit of luck and a fair wind we could have some back shortly.

A good refereeing display from a solid ref who we have had several times. There are no heirs and graces about him he doesn't look to be a show pony...he just gets on with it and I think everybody appreciates that.

I thought the Moorown scrum half,fly-half and one of their wingers were outstanding today.... They played with a lot of pace and power and were the main difference on the day.

Quite a few of us had thought we had scored 4 tries today and secure a bonus point...but we were informed not long after the final whistle that we had had a collective fit of rubbish mathematics!  So no bonus point for Scarborough.

Although it was a loss there is nothing to be too despondent about... Another 18 year old who has come through the ranks and has been playing in the lower teams made his debut today. And several other young players are getting a chance to play at this level.
Disappointing result today and although Moortown deserved their victory on the day it was a team we could/should have beaten if we’d played to our potential. Poor tackling yet again blighted the performance and when poor defensive alignment compounded the problem we were always on the back foot. Moortown used a simple runaround with the 10 and 12 exchanging passes to put the outside centre and winger in space. Once they applied aggressive, straight and direct running our outside defense was beaten several times.
We still persist in attacking from 5-10m from the opposition try line with single runners who are too easily repelled. We need to get some support in much quicker to be more effective.
I thought Will Rennard played with spirit and nice to see Sam Jackson have a good debut.
More injuries to contend with after today’s game. I thought the punishment of a penalty only from a tip tackle that resulted in a a player suffering a dislocated shoulder and missing the next 75 minutes was a bit weak. If it had happened in the middle of the game I think a more serious punishment outdated almost certainly have been applied

What a load of codswallop! Scabs well beaten in all areas of the park. You fail to give our slick backs any credit and your front row were taken to the cleaners on several occasions at scrum time.
your backs get credit in both posts. Perhaps you should read them again.

I am told Scarborough had more injured players on the touch line than paying supporters in the crowd!
Three of the injured apparently qualified for a bus pass!
I understand the prematch lunch at Clifton Park in two weeks v Scarborough is sold out!
I will let you guess how many tables have been reserved by the traveling Scarborough support?
Why don’t you just tell us?.........

Much better performance from Scarborough this week albeit against a side who are struggling this season.
Our tackling and defense were much improved and YM rarely got over their gain line and particularly in the second half we were clinical and looked after the ball well. Some excellent individual performances with Jordie Wakeham’s hattrick a highlight but Angus, Aaron and Phil Watson all worthy of mention.
Not sure what law book the referee has read but it’s not the one the rest of us use. Very inconsistent and several decisions just completely wrong

Scarborough losing 21-7
Scarborough well beaten by PP who did nothing spectacular but took their opportunities when needed. Tries from an interception and two charged down kicks put pressure on Scarborough that they never really responded to. Not to say they didn’t play well but just couldn’t execute at the crucial moments.
We didn’t compete well enough at the breakdown and yet again struggled to get quick enough support to breaking players. Thought Tom Harrison, Angus and Henry stuck at it well.
