Castleford v Baildon - Chancing my arm and saying Baildon will nick this if they've called in the cavalry till the end of the season.
Knottingley v Hemsworth - Last local derby of the season, always a bruising game against Hemsworth, fingers crossed we can push on till the end of the season.
Leeds Corinthians v Aireborough - Could be a close one, Leeds have been a bit hot and cold and Aire are still fighting.
Leeds Modernians v Sheffield Medics - I'm gunna back Mods to finally grind out a win on the slope, they've not been far off in recent weeks.
Skipton v Rotherham Phoenix - Never know to back Skipton or not especially at home, Jekyll and Hyde of the rugby world, i'll go with Phoenix.
Wensleydale J v Halifax Vandals - Vandals were quite forward orientated against us and were decent but so are Dale and they do it well, can't see anything but another home win.

I've been to many clubs where we've battered them and nobody has spoken to us (not Hessle) post match, similarly I can remember getting a thumping from Knottingley in Y2 and their post match entertainment was the best I can remember in 10 years.

We do try our best Intense, we enjoy the rugby part but the drinkings more important at Knottla!

Good win for Gate first team to beat Rotherham at home. Proving a lot of people wrong, I think 2nd spot is theirs to lose now. Still got a hard run in but think they'll get over the line after today's result.

In other news Blackpool is not a good place for a night out in March.

Our quarter final with Rotherham is now a league and cup double unfortunately due to lack of free weekends left.

In terms of the 5 subs I think it's massively helpful especially for teams that don't have more than 1 team like ourselves as we can rotate players more in the game and also give the fringe players on the subs bench more game time.

I think it's just a common assumption that whenever you're playing student teams they have a changed team all the time, but actually the majority of times I've played them it's been most of the same lads and underestimating them is risky. I think nearly all teams have changed line ups every week, I know we do.

Agree with you on that one Dropped it, bit of a sloppy game with wind taking control for a lot of it on the hill. A tight game but think we managed to just grind the win out with some stern defence, always a tough place to go but a good set of lads! The ref was a bit whistle happy to say the least but it is what it is I suppose.

Some weird results elsewhere aswell! Have Baildon really called in the cavalry then? That result would suggest they have and Mods must be the best team at nearly winning in the history of rugby.

Aireborough v Skipton - Good win for Skipton last week after recent form, who knows how they'll play this week but I think Aire will just get past them on the bog to give a bit of breathing space at the bottom.
Baildon v Wensleydale JOKER - Much needed win for Baildon last week against the students but Dale will be wanting to get straight back to winning ways and cement top spot.
Halifax Vandals v Knottingley - Never enjoy playing on mount doom especially if the weather's bad but always look forward to a good contest with Vandals. Bit of a changed team from last week but hopefully we can keep the momentum going.
Harrogate Pythons v Leeds Modernians - Pythons with an impressive win at Cas last week so can't see Mods causing them too much trouble at home, every games must win if they want to keep 2nd spot and Mods seem all but gone.
Hemsworth v Leeds Corinthians - Tough one to call, two similar teams both a bit inconsistent at the moment but think Hemsworth will grind out a win on the postage stamp.
Rotherham Phoenix v Thornensians - Big game for these two who are both chasing Pythons, think whoever loses is out of the race. Going with Thorne's power of Rotherham's youth.
Sheffield Medics v Castleford - Medics could still get drawn in to the dog fight so will be wanting another win but think Cas will win.

Wensleydale did you forget to bring your team today, won the league and forgot to give the mighty worms some respect, if any one wants lessons in defence and the scoring tries from own half , just call Stanny, by the way the ginger lad who spat at one of players in the away fixture had a pudding of a game he forgot his kicking boots, his playing boots and played like he wore stilettos, beachy was jelous , any how great game of rugby the Cheesemen have a long way home with a big fat L.

I told you to stay off the gin Fenton!

But in all seriousness a great game today between two good sides. A game of two halves with us playing some good attacking rugby in the first to go in 19-0 up. But Dale came back at us in the second and threw everything at us. Mix that in with us getting on the wrong side of the ref and eventually they broke us down 10 minutes from the end with two quick tries but we managed to hold out for the win. Happy to keep the good form going and good luck to Dale for what looks like Yorkshire 2 next year.

Knottingley v Wensleydale
Game of the week and I’ll not predict it but with the run both teams are on I’m guessing it’s going to be a cracker. Knotts by 5 if I were to predict and by 20 of beach isn’t playing and screaming like gender neutral woman

I love it when you praise me Mud Pig!

Castleford v Harrogate Pythons - Think this is the game where Gate either stay in poll position for 2nd or lose it but I think Cas will edge this at home and begin Gate's downfall as they have a very hard run in to the end of the season.
Knottingley v Wensleydale - Looking forward to this one, it will be a good test to see how far we've come. Dale are a good team all over the pitch. Think we owe it to ourselves to put in a good shift after going to the reverse fixture with 14 men.
Leeds Corinthians v Halifax Vandals - Bad run of late for Leeds but I think they will have too much for Vandals at home, could be close though.
Leeds Modernians v Rotherham Phoenix - Potential banana skin for Roth but I think they will get past the seemingly doomed Mods on the slope.
Sheffield Medicals v Baildon - If Baildon are to avoid the drop then they need to win this to give themselves a chance, can't see it though if Medics can put a performance in like last week! Or just hope for a reshuffle in the north review and that only 1 goes down.
Skipton v Hemsworth - Who knows what Skipton will turn up. At home they seem to be a different team compared to away but even then I think Hemsworth will get the win.
Thornensians JOKER v Aireborough - Aire have picked up but Thorne at home is a very hard fixture and I can't see them getting anything here.

Cheers Gateprop. I'd seen the thread earlier in the year so had an idea Stella but as for the rest of the Knottla lads who knows?! We usually have to steal Ponte's wifi router a few times a year to get any internet. I'm sure the lads will be briefed on the subject in due course and afterwards will just nod their heads and drink their pints as it won't make a difference what we think. 😂

Where can you find the north review to have a look at?

Halifax Vandals v Rotherham Phoenix - Anyone's guess as Vandals seem to be at their best on mount doom and Rotherham are hit and miss so I'll go with the Orcs to nick it.
Leeds Corinthians v Castleford - Tough one to call, two good teams on their day but think Cas might edge this.
Sheffield Medics J v Skipton - Medics look to be making every game a dog fight now and I think they'll get the win against Skipton who seem to have struggled recently especially away from home.
Wensleydale v Harrogate Pythons - Big clash at the top and one that will go a long way to deciding who goes up in 1st place. Dale have a perfect record at home and I'd expect them to keep it but Gate will push them all the way maybe picking up a few losing bonus points.

Couldn't make my predictions last week as the forum was down, I would of got them all wrong no doubt anyway!

Bit of a scrappy game at Baildon yesterday but our defence was still up to scratch and is what won us the game. Happy to keep the momentum going and the good form up. Unfortunately an early end to the game as our young winger landed badly on his neck after a collision in the air. Big thanks to the doctor at Baildon Mark and touch judge Chris who stayed with him the whole time till the ambulance came. All ok now, just soft tissue damage in his neck and 10 stitches in his lip so a decent scar to come but no serious injury which is the main thing! Good luck to Baildon for the rest to the season.

A change in coach before Christmas Postie and the lads are buying into it, but we always knew it would be a tough start with 7 away games on the trot due to our pitch.
