I have been out of the country so today was my 1st Lions game.

Impressed on the whole, agree re Davies, superb all round game. Think he would go well with O'Driscoll.

Forwards looked good, especially at 2nd row. Obviously, loads of back row options but think that could have been the starting three on display today.

Halfpenny outstanding, Zebo has some X factor but Maitland needs to learn how to tackle.

Can't wait for next Saturday, surprised at lack of interest on here?

This has probably been covered before but anyone know where I can watch the England game tonight? (dont think there is enough time to fly to Argentina).

It's all in the shading. Knottla wear a bluer blue than DP. :)

It's also in the eye of the ref. Last season ref was perfectly happy with usual kits when WPL played at Yarnbury. A different ref insisted on a change when Yarnbury came to us. Go figure!

When I can bothered I will PM you with more details. Not a speaker I would recommend to anyone.

I would rather receive a PM from Col Gadaffi, Saddam Hussain or Fidel Castro!

Mark Regan?! We've had a host of top speakers over the last 20 years but he was NOT one of them.  He was terrible, the only speaker we've had worse than him was Tim Simpson.

Typically constructive comments from the all knowing one. I will be sure to pass them on to Mr Regan next time I am speaking to him.

Funnily enough Ronnie did say that he had bumped into an obnoxious, jumped up maasdam when he visited Scarborough Rugby Club so at least we know that BRB's comments are based on personal knowledge.

Might be a good time to invest in change kits.

By my reckoning around half the teams in Y2 play in blue of one sort or another so could be a few kit clashes.

Believe he is. Been around the circuit a bit - Hull, Halifax & what's that other one?

If I am not mistaken he started out at Thorne in the mini/juniors though.

Picking up from Y4 thread, great night at WPL on Friday.

190 in attendance with representatives from all sections of club inc ladies.

Guest speaker Mark Regan. Very good once you get past the Bristol accent!

Really got involved, went right round the room to meet everyone and ran a charity auction that raised loads of dosh inc big contribution to the Nathan Cubitt fund.

PM me if you want his contact details.

Perhaps the most surprising - shocking? - thing about the announcement is that Tigers run only two senior and three junior teams.

Is that what professionalism means?

Match 1: Junior Vase Final – Newent v Baildon, KO 11am

Match 2: Senior Vase Final – Selby v Drybrook, KO 1pm

Match 3: Intermediate Cup Final – Bridlington v Brighton, KO 3pm

Posting here in Y1 because likely to reach the widest audience.

Best of luck to all three Yorkshire teams involved on Saturday.

Bring those trophies back where they belong!

The more I think about it the more unbalanced the squad looks in certain areas.

Taking only two 10's is ridiculous. If JW genuinely isn't up to it why not look elsewhere?

The centres are all very similar. There is no footballing inside centre to take the pressure off the 10. Jonny was always better when he had someone like Mike Catt or Will Greenwood outside him. Someone like Billy Twelvetrees or even Toby Flood could have done this job and also provided useful cover at 10.

If necessary could have been at the expense of one of the back rows, an area of great strength, perhaps Lydiate who I think has missed a lot of rugby this season.

Unless the thinking is that JW definitely will join the tour later on?
