Hoped the Bramley player would have escaped without a break, but not to be unfortunately. Credit to his team mates who steadied him and to those from Bramley touchline who stabilised his leg and got the ankle back in place.

Send him my good wishes for his recovery.

Ref today at Wibsey. Nasty injury but May not be a break, "just" a severe dislocation that was put back in before ambulance arrived. I think that the League Committee will have to decide on the result standing or not.

Referee Chat / Re: Referees Federation - A little bit of unrest?

No criticism at all, and my apologies to anyone who felt that is the case. I did make a point of thanking those who had held office previously.
Most of those who have left their executive role are still on the Federation Committee using their experience there and at Society level, so not thrown away as some may imply incorrectly.
However, as within any organisation new blood and new ideas are always welcome, and to have new eyes looking at the challenges ahead, together with us older ones can only be a good thing.

As an update to this thread, changes have occurred  for various reasons amongst the Federation Committee, and the final filling of roles has now been completed.
Thanks must go to those retiring officers who have contributed vast amounts of effort into administering and developing refereeing across the County.
The Federation is now operating with new, and younger members, who I am sure will drive standards onwards and upwards, as well as finding ways to make it easier for prospective referees to join the fold.

Harley's indiscipline at least was on the field of play, but for the other two it makes you just wonder what gets into people.

In all honesty though, Cipriani probably wouldn't have got much game time, Tuigali hadn't played for a year for England, so the actual team isn't much disrupted without them. Assuming Lancaster gives Cipriani the elbow.

Sorry to hear that, not a bad day, though a little dragged out in places to fill the time.

Catch up later no doubt.

Where were you Mr Flag Man?

Every time I visited your seat it was empty, and you had pole position seats for the presentations!

And because you think its a swingers website you are suddenly interested or were you surfing the net? ????

I will be in Aisle 38, Row N Seat 2

I may well wear the shirt!

Other Senior Rugby / Rugby World Cup Volunteers Meeting 16/5/2015
« on: May 10, 2015, 10:14:26 PM »
If anyone has successfully applied to be a volunteer and is off down to the first meet up on Saturday by car, drop me a PM if you fancy a car share.
Just looked at train times and they are hopeless!

The heights in my career look like a topographical map of Lincolnshire to be fair.

Serious stuff,international training, very impressed

Short of the obvious eye test, training is a part of and refs summer free time.
So to start the ball rolling I plan to take the pink shirt on as many climbs as possible.
So here I am on Helvellyn. Scarfell is next.
Anyone else who wants to show their summer fitness training post away.

facts not accurate, but conclusion correct, typical refereeing decision making process. Obviously the events not as deeply ingrained in my mind as they are in Fredsbar!
