Will not be called Y1 next season. All leagues will not represent name of CB.
 Competition for new names?

The  board will need changing job for mods.

So has the name changed or not? Doesn't look like it.
They've had a name change of one league over in the West
N2W
Not quite sure where it fits in with the levels though.

For anyone sad enough to be interested. Here's the link to the Google map for the RFU/Lancs leagues and clubs for the coming season

And now we know why Snowdens have been asked to tender for their own job. (Based on earlier FB comment). Or is this a result of having to apply?

So is there an explanation out there why the whole fixtures list is disjointed?
The RFU web site is usually slow to catch up.

They look similar to last years.

Hate to disappoint you but the RFU has performed a classic. Snowdons who produce North and East Doc fixtures have been asked to bid for their job!!!
And now we know where Treason May has moved on to.

Stella

I’m told the appeal is about what the leagues at level 7.

Last season Lancs and Cheshire (l&c) had 13 teams and Cumbria 8 at level 7.

L&c were told it would be one down so their could get back to even numbers 14 teams. Relegation from North West one has relegated 3 l&c teams. Two promoted so they now have 15 teams in their league, Cumbria now only have 7 teams in there league.

Having been promised at the start of the season no more level transfer to Cumbria 1, RFU North now proposed to level transfer a team to Cumbria 1.

L&C clubs would rather be relighted to level 8 which only has 11 clubs rather than level transfer.

Just to stir the pot the breakaway Lancashire league have extended there deadline to join for next season to the end of may.

That’s a summary I got from a mate In Cheshire today.
Cheers O&S

So bottom line, the review was a roaring success then.  ::) :o

Stella the county handbook does not help as it does not list fixtures secretary contact details (only club secretaries are listed which at most clubs are different people to the fix sec, and when you have loads of clubs to call ringing the club sec to ask for the fix secs contact details is a bit of a pain).

At the moment best thing there is, that i can find is a 5 year out of date fixture handbook from when they would collate all the spreadsheets from each club and send them out as a pdf (unfortunatly as this is out of date it includes contact details for lots of former or even deceased fixture secs so not the best)
Apologies.
For some reason i thought i'd seen them listed in there.

An email to the Hon Secs should get you the info surely?

Anyone heard anything about when the new Fixtures will be out - i am interested in Y2 but asking on here as applies to all leagues.

Also does anyone know how you get hold of an upto date list of fixture secretaries contact details (used to be in a hard copy handbook that the YRFU stopped printing a long time back before switching to a PDF with all the club details which stopped getting sent out around 15/16). For clarification only after fixture secs not club secs or other club details.
You can download the YRFU handbook from the website.

What was the route Thorne had to play to get to final at twicks? In terms of a group stage? And do the RFU subsidise?
2 game round robin with NE.
Then a game against NW
Then semi final against Midlands.
With the imminent cuts to funding, will the game be at Twickenham next season?
Will the miserly funding be cut further?

Yorkshire v Northumberland today at Bradford and Bingley was £10 ??
We had travelled to watch it but there was no inside food available and no tea or coffee.
Big function in the main room and was told quite clearly by a chap in a nice striped jacket that food inside was only available for officials.
He actually said nothing inside for the general public- with a smile on his face.
Poor welcome ??
But there was a very small not very well organised outside hot sandwich place.
He should have been warning you not to buy the dodgy beer. Surprised the dared to serve it.

Sorry for not being clear, I was referring to mileage from Kendal. As it’s around 16 miles from Pock to Driff then according to the figures you produced it would be only 123 miles if the route went via Pock. Anyway as you say it’s all academic, and no doubt the powers that be will surprise all of us.
Just checked.
Google algorithms now say Kendal to Driffield is 143 miles tonight
Malton and Pocklington both showing 107 miles.
AVS you are at it again!!!
It's so you don't need to guess.  :)

What are people's thoughts of Ponte charging £7 to get in and £4 for concessions ???

Personally I think it's disgusting
I don’t think it has anything to do with Ponte.
Pretty sure YRFU set the prices.
