Poor and that doesn't take anything away from Skipton.

You know what you get when you play Skipton and if you cant create a simple overlap at this level of rugby, you are always going to struggle.

We closed the gaps ourselves and found someone to run into. by some luck or fortune we had one play and scored from it.

in all fairness had the game gone on much beyond the eighty, Skipton would of won and no complaints from us

At least you came out and said that you didn't have the squad available instead of playing the old Covid card....#Fred

As Hobbo and others at Knotts will remember we had a terrible reputation with our discipline a few years back. We had someone in front of the beak most weeks. We had the meetings at the club and decided as a club to lose the perpetrators and crash down the leagues as a result. We got some right stick on here for doing so; you may remember!

We built the club back up from its roots with arguably not so good a players but ones who played for the right reasons. The RL reputation still follows us to this day and most spectators still shout `typical rugby league lot` some referees are also under the impression that we tackle rugby league esk` when the oppositions high tackles start at a similar height and goes unpunished, you get upset!

We found playing the victim in the disciplinary hearings went against us every time, as they only ever read the referees report. What didn't help was the yellow cards for back chatting when the decisions went against us. We came away pleased if we shook less than a four.

The culture had to change and playing the hard man and the attitude of never losing a fight on the field did nothing for the club at all.

As I have said previously, we need a strong Knottingley playing side in this division but not one we dread. When the season started and we looked at the fixtures we looked at the games against Knotts and didn't put points against them, simply to come away with no injuries or cards for retaliating (our away fixture in late October typifies that)

Good luck (genuinely) for the rest of the season

I don't hate you Mr G, not at all

Just concerned that our local muckers are missing from action on the forum that's all.  O0

Sing when your winning but missing in action when the going gets tough (or is that our committee)......lol

We need a strong Knottingley side in this division Mr G, what we don't need is a worry that through means of foul play any of the opposition gets injured or indeed abused on the side lines when spectators have the audacity to speak up about it. The games tough enough, you will appreciate that. It is after all meant to be a game that is enjoyable for players and spectators alike.

Your disciplinary record Mr G thus far this season could have been far worse had there been officiating touch judges, certainly at the two games I have watched you this season. Knotts are a good club but like us all, we are represented by our players!

Has the Knottingley contingent been told to stay off the forum until they have won a few or don't get any player sin binned or red carded?

Either way guys...it'll be a while, stay in touch!  ;D ;D

Castleford v Skipton. We have a few covid issues ourselves but out of the two teams we have, we will find enough lads to play, even if it isn't our best XV!
Halifax Vandals v Hemsworth. IF the game gets played.
Harrogate Pythons v Knottingley. Knotts to get more cards than points. They might not even win the fight in this one.
Old Otliensians v Barnsley Even with recent events at Barnsley, OO`s are struggling for any momentum
Ossett v Bramley Phoenix. A full strength Ossett should have too much for Phoenix
Sheffield Medicals v West Park Leeds. Close game but fitness to run WPL around I reckon
Wibsey v Burley The one after the rallying call is always the more difficult one but I do hope Wib`s turn out a side.

Hey ups Half Nut.

To be honest we used to have the reputation a good few years back and it was very difficult to shake off. Any 50/50 calls always went against us where disciplinary matters were concerned. We were carded for instigating it and/or carded for retaliation in equal measures.

However witnessing first hand twice this season of Knottingley's `style of play` it doesn't surprise me they are under the spotlight with referees.  Like you say, off the pitch most of them are a decent set of lads.

I wont be surprised at all if the league start docking points of Knots? we were threatened with it and I do believe (not 100% sure) we did get five points docked one year for disciplinary matters. Given the amount Knots have already had this year, they will have enough to set up there own Morse code soon direct to to the RFU!

He must be brilliant at catching the bus. I'll take the Mourinho approach on the ref and just say I prefer not to speak or I am in big trouble.

You`ll be running a bus for the disciplinary meetings Beachy if this carries on wont ya! You`ve had more cards this season than I got Christmas cards this year. ;D

Beachy will no doubt explain Plant pot.

Funny out of the hundreds of forum representatives Knottingley have on here, they only seem to thrive when they are winning....

Suggesting then Fred that out of the two teams worth of players, a side could have been raised, given that just seven had been positive?

Or does the isolation and contact rules, rule that out? And before you jump on your horse again; I don't know the answer!

Old fart I didn't write referee, it automatically changes the word I did use to referee, so I will leave that to you to interpret

I do believe in past times it changed the word to Lancashire..

Hemsworth & Castleford off.

Notified at 5.55pm last night (Friday) that the Hemsworth camp have a Covid outbreak.....

The sooner the RFU deal with this sort of referee the better!

Barnsley v Harrogate Pythons. Barnsley will have enough in the tank to beat Pythons.....for now!
Bramley Phoenix v Wibsey. Hoping the post from Useless is positive news, Albeit a loss on this venture
Burley v Old Otliensians. Cant see OO`s raising a side for an away fixture but if they do Burley will have too much
Hemsworth v Castleford Like most we will have absentees but should still put Hems away comfortably.
Sheffield Medicals v Halifax Vandals Away win if and it is a big if, Sheffield aren't back to full strength
Skipton v Ossett if Ossett travel with a full squad or near, they will win this one comfortably
West Park Leeds v Knottingley. Knotts wont travel well for this one. Ate & drank too much to brawl
