Regional Two (North & North East) / Re: Latest scores 26/1/19
« on: January 27, 2019, 12:22:54 AM »
Bombardier ... There were two average sides out today .. scabs were well worth the win , good lads actually , your kiwi players were especially nice blokes but your analysis is very one eyed... you were lucky to be ahead at the break... Some bad decisions on our end after being camped in your 22 for 35 minutes meant the game got away from us.. and everytime you broke.away you scored ... Fair play we did that several times over the last few years... When you have confidence you can be average or poor and still.win... Despite the make up of the Scarborough pack which were mostly imports and the winger who obviously don't get paid you didn't set the world on fire , I'm sure if you go up you have the funds to stay in North premier. You certainly have the facilities.
We know we have lots to improve on to.even have a chance staying up but we took alot from today and the scoreline didn't tell the whole.story..
Who knows these recruits brb has mentioned may even turn up to a game/training session/brunch at some point.

Folded like a deck chair... awesome hit nothing wrong with it, I also doubt the ref can even see it all that well from where he is. The standard of refereeing isnt great but massive kudos to anyone who has the balls to do it. If participation in playing is down I imagine the uptake on refereeing is abysmal so your getting what is available, quite a thankless task.

It was a tight game with not much in it to be honest, conditions played a part as it was a pure deluge for 60 minutes with dropped balls all over the place but either side could have won that game and felt like they were worthy winners based on performance. No idea what YMCA have done recruitment wise - we lost over there last year, we were shocking on the day, they were just as bad when we beat them at ours, its hard to say who is going to run away with it outside York... all results so far have been really tight with the exception of York last week and M&N this week, long may it continue!

Regional Two (North & North East) / Re: Scores 16 th Dec.
« on: December 18, 2017, 02:22:26 PM »
YM deserved the win for sure, they just wanted it more on the day, we barely had any ball all game and we were not at the races at all, we had 2 dropouts in the morning and we are down to the bare bones in front row, which is why I had to play there for 70 minutes. we have loads of guys coming back from injury in the new year, and sam is back end of January so I'm confident we can just kick on from here. not an excuse, YM had a very different side to what we played at ours. One talking point: although the game was more or less gone by this point our winger was taken out by 2 YM players in the air and landed on his neck, he's fine, but it was at least one red probably 2... result 1 yellow, just not our day unfortunately

Regional Two (North & North East) / Re: IT'S HALF WAY FOLKS----PREDICTIONS!!!!!!!
« on: December 07, 2017, 10:19:47 AM »
Bees v Brid - Bees have a lot of aggression but not much else, think they had a lot of players missing against us, but had a man advantage for nearly an hour so cant see them getting past Brid
YM v Northern - Home advantage to count for this one
M&N v Dinnington - M&N should win this based on home form, Dinno to run them close though - both squads are massively inconsistent
Morpeth v Cleck - League leaders with home advantage, by at least by 20
Penrith v Driff - Driff better rugby team, but its a long long way for them, that does have a huge effect on things - if Driff play their best team they win
PP v Alnwick - Wheels have come off at PP only one winner
West v Wests - Not worried about Sam's suspension, we are all relieved, he's only in squad because his dad is Head Coach, nepotism at its worst!
YM v Northern - Home advantage to count for this one

Regional Two (North & North East) / Re: SATURDAY 2ND PREDICTIONS--PENULTIMATE 1ST HALF OF THE SEASON!!
« on: November 27, 2017, 12:54:01 PM »
Alnwick - M&N - M&N likely to continue their poor form Alnwick being formidable at home
Brid - Penrith - I reckon they could draw, Brid are good at home, Penrith not so great away at the moment, but have lots of lads coming back in, having said that it must be one of their longest trips of the season, unavailabilities inevitable
Cleck - PP - PP dont seem to have a game plan, they have a few good individuals but are not very cohesive, they were a bit soft in D as well when we played them, better in attack, for that reason id say cleck to win
Dinnington - YM - After they spanked us i would be hard pressed to predict anything other than a home win.
Northern - WH - No idea what WH are like, Northern were great hosts but it was really hard to draw too many conclusions from the game as the man in the middle made a number of questionable decisions and wanted to make it about him in what was an error ridden match. They might feel a bit sore and come out firing so ill say home win
WL - BB - Cant imagine it will be the same lads we played in the Shield final a couple of years ago, some serious stuff gone down there since! always back yourself at home tho

« on: November 21, 2017, 03:30:59 PM »
Hudd YM v Alnwick Form says alnwick but its a long old way!
M & N v Cleck I think M&N walk this one
Morpeth v Brid Will say Morpeth based on recent results but after playing them both I would have said Brid!
Northern v W. Leeds We need to get back to winning consistently big game for us!
Penrith v B & B B&B just need to keep it under 30!
Percy Pk v Driffield Driffield i think are the better team all round, have some young lads and would imagine if they take full strength squad they should win!
West H v Dinn. I think Dinnington are in a bit of a false position really, all their losses were quite fine margins, know idea what WH are like yet so going for an away win.
