Baildon v Leeds Medics - difficult to call this one. Think a lot will depend on the weather, if it's dry I'd go for Medics. Half decent forecast so will back Medics.
Goole v Bramley - should be a comfortable home win.
Halifax v Thorne - depends what sort of side Thorne travel with but backing Fax to continue their good start at home.
Pythons v Aireborough - confidence is high.
Rotherham v Otliensians - OO's to have too much across the park.
Stocks v North - could be a close game but backing Stocks at home
Wetherby v Mods - Mods will want to bounce back from last week but can't see past a Wetherby win.

Cheers. Great team effort today in a hard fought game.

With regards to the score. Is it freshers week playing its part! Everyone knows LMD lancashire first 5 weeks of a season and last 5 weeks.
They looked a decent team last week. Granted we were very poor but they must have been missing a few this week for that score line. Or where wetherby just that good?

Yorkshire 3 / Re: Up and Downs
« on: August 17, 2015, 05:14:04 PM »
Ups
Goole - if they're as good as they were 2 years ago they'll walk Yorkshire 3 again.
Leeds Mods - been there or there abouts the last 2 seasons but need to pick up more try bonus points to challenge for promotion. The 3 teams that finished above them last year got twice as many bonus points and scored a lot more points. They're defence is very good so they're not far away.
Thorne - couple more away wins should push them right into the mix.
Wetherby - back to back promotions are difficult but you can't ignore their form last year.
Downs
Aireborough - seemed to be an ageing team and without new blood they'll struggle
Halifax - don't know a lot about them but the team that finishes 2nd in Y4 often struggles.
Rotherham - don't know what happened to them last season but unless they sort out their form from the 2nd half of last season they'll go down with games to spare.

Yorkshire 3 / Re: Trouble at Pythons?
« on: August 07, 2015, 02:07:03 AM »
As far as I can tell that advert is a few years old. The kit is out of date, the website hasn't been used for years and we don't train at Claro Road.
We've had great turnouts at pre-season training and there's going to be plenty of players available for Pythons, Pirates and Vets. We are still always happy to welcome new players though so feel free to get in contact via http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/harrogatepythons or come say hello at Roundesians 10's this Saturday where we'll be fielding 2 teams. See you all in the coming season.

Goole, Thorne and Old Mods for top 3. Aireborough, Rotherham and Halifax for bottom 3. Should be a cracking season with no easy games.

Castleford v Stocksbridge - Cas to end their season on a high
Pythons v Thornensians - backing us at home
Hemsworth v Aireborough - nothing left both these two to play for so home win
Northallerton v Baildon - North too strong at home
Old Grovians v Bramley - OG's will want to maintain their 100% home record
Old Mods v Old Otliensians - Mods pack will be too strong and their 10 manoeuvres them round the park well, could be a close one though it OO's can get the ball to their backs in a bit of space
Rotherham v Burley - Rotherham haven't won a game since December and unless their team is very different from the one that played us recently I can't see them turning things around against a pumped up Burley side.
