Yorkshire 1 / What will the Bandit's 100th post be?

He's clearly desperate for that 4th star.

Yorkshire 1 / Let the people speak.

I am conscious of a groundswell of opinion that a change is due. It may just be, of course, that those who shout loudest represent no opinion other than their own warped and self-interested one. However, I am nothing if not receptive to the will of the majority, and will mutate back should that be your democratically expressed wish.

Yorkshire 1 / League table latest.
« on: January 16, 2011, 01:42:54 PM »
Interesting weekend people.
Top of the pile this week: KJ and NPS with 12, Medici 11 and yours truly with 10.
Taking the Andrex award at the bottom are SB with 5, Huddy and HBM with 6 (Is there a message here?).

Adjusted league table as follows:

nps           21
Me  ;D       18
medici       18
Red Dev     17
KJ             17
wagner      15
GTIY         14
Boots        14
C2N          13
HBM          11
Huddy       10
Botts         9
Tefrev       9
No9           9 (Appropriately)
YorkEx       8
Delboy       7
Bandit       5 (Didn't want to play this week. Some sort of hissy-fit?)

I know how passionately you all take this league, and will already have worked out your own scores to pioint me in the right direction if the Sauv Blanc has taken its usual effect....)

After week 1 of 2011, the table is as follows (if you have chosen a ridiculously long name I can't be bothered to type it in full, so work it out for yourselves).
One point for correct result, bonus point for each correct margin  e.g  7 (5+2)

nps           9 (5+4)
Red Dev     8 (5+3)
medici       7
GTIY         7
Boots        6
wagner      6 (4+2)
KJ            5
Bandit       5
HBM         5
Botts       4
Huddy      4 (scoreline predictions unclear - could have been 4+2 if they made sense!)
C2N         4

Full house for medici and GTIY, but bonus points make the difference!
No preening, no sulking everyone. Long way to go yet.
(I myself got a maximum 14, but modesty prevents me from crowing and I don't want to discourage the rest of you.) ;D

Yorkshire 1 / Impartial officialdom.

It is no secret that many referees of Y1 games are members of Y1 clubs. None of them, to my knowledge, have ever been allocated their own club's game at which to officiate, but they are certainly in a position to provide useful information about opposition clubs. This could become significant in promotion / relegation issues. Is this acceptable?

Yorkshire 1 / 2011 predictions start (Part 2)

As the Bandit's ill-timed attempt ended, predictably, with pictures of naked men walking upstairs in a random cottage somewhere in the high Andes, I can understand board members' reluctance to get involved with that thread. So here's a second attempt to generate some manly debate.

Ilkley Vs. Salem
Keighley Vs. Heath
Knottingley Vs. Dinnington
Tonga Vs. Castleford
Ribblesdale Vs. Bridlington
Scarborough Vs. York
Selby Vs. Sheffield
