I agree with you on that Gateprop, hopefully with the league restructuring and going down to 12 teams those extra free weekends can provide enough time for players to do what they want away from rugby and allow us to have more numbers available for the weekends with games. It seems the majority of clubs are struggling for one reason or another this season, not exactly comforting but doesn't make you feel as bad to know it's not just us.

We've had to do the same as well Pommie in regards to bringing other things in to the club to keep it ticking over with an American Football team playing out of the club along with Mr G starting up a rugby league juniors section which now has 3 teams which is great to see. Suppose times are changing and we have to change with them to keep things going.

Well Beachy I hope you get the lads back and are able to fulfil fixtures.  I can't speak for anyone other than myself but I certainly don't like to see any clubs demise. Hopefully the lads out injured will get themselves back available soon.  You'd have enjoyed the game against Pythons - they're a big bunch of boys.
Sounds like your on with sorting out the discipline side too which is good.  This might be going against the grain a little bit but over the last 16 years or so i've enjoyed playing against Knottingley - my first 1st team start at prop was against them.  However, some of the things i've bore witness to and heard this season with regards discipline is pretty poor.

MrG don't know you in person I don't think but Beachy will tell you - I'm a delight. Your right, you do get a lot of sh*t on here mate... rightly so in my opinion as you dish it out.  Granted sometimes some people take that the wrong way, as your rightly say other sections of this forum are boring, Y3 (due to you boys ) is never.. but banter or no - you dish it out so you have to take it back old pal.  That said (this case aside) I try to stay away from all that.

Cheers Dale hopefully we get at least a few back to make up a starting 15. They are a big bunch of lads was a great game against them at our place and we always enjoy playing them at their place too just unfortunate it's come to a head this week. I'm sure Bez will testify that we loved playing the Barnsley boys over the years too and had some great tussles.

Discipline is something we have been trying to improve throughout the season but there are games where we have just imploded. Though I do believe we get some unjust stick on here as the only 'dirty' team around, there are plenty of teams in the league who I've seen warrant the same stick we get. There were at least 2 incidents on Saturday we were on the receiving end of that were unsavoury to say the least from the league's stereotypical union poster boys. It's easy to point the fingers at the rough and ready thugs from Knottla but some teams may want to look in a mirror first.

All this being said we hope we can get back on the pitch as soon as possible.

To be fair Hobbo out of all the unavailability's we have we are only missing 2 lads this week from red cards as many as you lot this week if I'm correct? ;) On the other hand we are missing at least 10 from injury (long term and short) so you tell me which is effecting our ability more to put a team out haha.

I agree our discipline needs to improve massively and we have had internal discussions and meetings on this about how to fix it but as you well know it's not an over night thing and the games changed massively in terms of red and yellows being dished out now, even in the Premiership, but we need to adapt to it. Discipline may well be costing us with the odd suspension, however injuries have been the major factor throughout the season hampering get our best first team out on the pitch. I'm sure many are enjoying revelling in the demise of the nasty Knottla boys, but we'll keep going and see if we can get as many good Yorkshire 3 games in between now and the end of the season.

I've put it all in predictions Hobbo lad! No cracking excuses from us just simple ones, 10+ injuries to first team lads (including myself) mixed with others working and then obviously some weekly Knottla suspensions ???. Unfortunately, when you only run 1 team and have a small playing squad like we do it's been impossible to get 15 able bodied blokes this week. Is what it is and hopefully it's the last time but I'm not putting my house on it. I'm sure we'll get plenty of stick for giving the game but unless anyone has any secret player tree's we can have access to it's what we've had to do.

Castleford v Skipton - Think this will be a tight one, Skipton are a gritty side and make it hard but Cas should have enough.
Halifax Vandals v Hemsworth - Not many go up to Mordor and beat the Orcs, think Vandals should edge this one at home.
Harrogate Pythons v Knottingley - Gutted to say the least, but we've had to give the game this weekend with only 9 fit and available players. First time since I've played at the club that we've had to do this but it is what it is and a sign of the times. No complaints from us we just don't have the numbers mainly due to a silly amount of injuries, then mixed in with lads working and suspensions it's made it impossible to field a team with a small squad. Hopefully this is the first and last time we have to do it this season.
Old Otliensians v Barnsley - Think Barnsley will be looking to avenge last week's first defeat of the season. Unfortunately for Ensians they're in the firing line.
Ossett v Bramley Phoenix - Surprised at Bramley's result last week to Wibsey but think they'll get back on the horse here.
Sheffield Medicals v West Park Leeds - West Park did the nitty gritty stuff well last week, but I don't think that'll stick on the young bucks, young ens to nick it on the 3G pitch.
Wibsey v Burley - Great win for Wibsey last week after turbulent times, I think Burley might nick this though they seem to make an arm wrestle of every game they're in.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened Saturday Pommie, West Park with a smart game plan and constantly doing the niggly stuff without detection and unfortunately we retaliate and are punished/carded for it. It's a dark art not getting caught in that side of the game and West Park did it well and we didn't. Hey ho we move on soon be Christmas.

He must be brilliant at catching the bus. I'll take the Mourinho approach on the ref and just say I prefer not to speak or I am in big trouble.

Not much to explain Pommie old fart and not a game worth writing home about. We definitely weren't at our best after a 4 week rest and West Park did a great job of ruining any ball we had which stifled us. Ref let it descend in to mayhem round the ruck and the whole tone of the game was set from there. Looks like we picked a good week to lose with most of the top teams losing out. On to the next one!

Barnsley v Harrogate Pythons - Unless any players follow the Barnsley coach I can't see it affecting much, should still be plain sailing for Casper's men. Pythons will give them a good go though.
Bramley Phoenix J v Wibsey - Hopefully it's not the end of the road for Wibsey and they can finish the season, but either way this will be a home win.
Burley v Old Otliensians - With it being a Leeds fixture you'd hope Ensians can take a side through but same as above unfortunately.
Hemsworth v Castleford - Should be a slugfest this one both got hefty packs who'll enjoy the mud, Cas should have enough but Hemsworth are tough on their postage stamp.
Sheffield Medicals v Halifax Vandals - All depends on Medics team, if they've got the full squad you'd think it's a home win but I'll bank on a few not being back yet and the Orcs to make the most of it.
Skipton v Ossett -  No one likes this away trip even before a ball is kicked. Skipton were a very big set of lads when we played them think they'll be tough to beat at home.
West Park Leeds v Knottingley - I'm not playing so no comedy red cards this time but if Goldilocks is still playing there's always a chance of something. Looking forward to seeing some rugby again all being well and playing at the 5 star facilities.

I've asked the big man for a new knee as well Alf hopefully he brings me something useful. Fingers crossed we get some rugby in the new year and we can grab those pints but it's feeling more and more likely the blonde haired wally is going to be delivering some miserable news soon.

We've got all lads practicing Barnsley twangs now to put you off Hobbo, you don't stand a chance come Saturday.

Come on then Pig of the mud enlighten us all on which games have been cancelled?!

In terms of getting a bit of stick for the covid card we expect as much, when you dish it out you've gotta be able to take it, that's what rugby's all abart.

Hopefully most games can happen this weekend I know we're looking forward to welcoming Billy Caspers men down to Howard's Field this weekend, it's been a while!

Castleford v Sheffield Medicals - Hopefully not all the young doctors have gone home for Christmas and they can run Cas around the field, they might just nick it.
Halifax Vandals v West Park Leeds - Tough one to call but given the Orcs are at home in their natural environment on Mount Doom I think they'll take this.
Harrogate Pythons v Burley - Burley have shown they're a good outfit but I think Pythons are a more polished version of them, in the set piece especially.
Knottingley v Barnsley - Hopefully we have enough players to give the almighty red machine a good go. If we just complete the season we'll be happy as alot of the lads are terribly upset the bubble seems to have burst.
Old Otliensians v Bramley Phoenix J - If Barnsley don't obliterate the struggling Knottla then this could be the biggest score of the day.
Ossett v Hemsworth - Cabbage patch cup, couldn't pay me to watch this one.
Wibsey v Skipton - If the big Skipton pack turn up they should get the win here, hopefully Wibsey can get a team together.

Basically cant raise a side then Beach!  O0

Had it been say Wibsey or OO`s at home maybe we wouldn't be having Covid issues?

As you have said many times yourself on here......

That's usually what happens if people are told to isolate old fella means it affects the size of the squad glad you're cottoning on though.

Burley v Barnsley  J - Winning streak to carry on at the top.
Castleford v West Park Leeds - Cas should have enough at home.
Hemsworth vs Old Otliensians - Hemsworth if it's still on.
Halifax Vandals v Ossett - Mount doom in December no thank you.
Skipton v Harrogate Pythons - Could be a tight one this two hefty forwards packs.
