Well well well some surprise results today dale getting beat, knotts getting beat, skipton and Baildon winning that's Yorkshire 3 rugby for you! Ca$ winning again with ensians those 2 have to be favs this season, the big spenders which isn't a surprise and ensians back line scoring plenty of points! What happened at knotts? Thought it would have been a straight forward win, big chez and simbo against the measly students looking forward to seeing what happened there, unfortunately I missed another week due to home commitments next weekend should be fun with 2 Yorkshire teams in the grand final at old Trafford I'm guessing some games will be rescheduled

Aireborough v cas
Battle of the packs of the grounds really soft and peppa pig would love to jump
In it then I'd say aire, but this time of the year when it's still quite firm and cas are on a winning streak I'll go with cas forwards to equal each other out with Cas's backs being the better set they'll take the W
Baildon v Sheffield Medicals
Sheff meds for me
Hemsworth v Old Ot
Hems seem to be on a slippery hill, smashing their first game and struggling for a win since what's happened down there?? Hems pack to better Old Ots but old ots backs far superior and another away win for the league favourites
Knottingley v Leeds Medics and Dentists
Knotts picking up their first win last week all be it by a point will give them the confidence to go on and put a run of wins together, will the students travel and handle the knotts aggression? I don't think so going for a knotts bonus point win with chez scoring 4 tries
Northallerton v Harrogate Pythons
Again pack vs pack fancy north at home but it'll be a close one
Stocksbridge v Skipton
Stocks for the home W
Wensleydale v Leeds Mods
Dale feeling hard done by at cas last week will be fired up for Leeds mods this weekend still my dark horses for promotion and nothing else than a win here and I'm gonna stick my neck out and say by 20

Hoping to get to one of the games this weekend might go see what's happening with hems and to see how good the OO's are.....one I won't be going to see is the aire vs cas game boring rugby for a team that pays ????

It's poor that a y3 is paying players as Fenton said a while ago he'd heard from somebody at Pontefract that you were paying players  then somebody from camp cas said he's a player/coach! If one gets paid then all should there's lads giving up overtime to play on a weekend and doesn't get s penny where as the bloke next to him is now that's poor, credit to club for riding out the hard times you've mentioned every clubs had it and it's good to see the lads coming through the ranks and actually getting game time which is a credit to the club but the paying of players in this league is wrong and the standard of refereeing in this league is very up and down and some of the refs do need to be held responsible as they're costing teams points and money ???? marky mark complained about the situations more than once last season and he knows what he's on about!!! Obviously you'll sing the refs praises as they've been giving you every decision under the sun

I'm a neutral up here and just love rugby too old play now did my days down south and my referee comments are just tongue in cheek/banter , one thing for cas is you're winning somehow enjoy it whilst your going strong!!

Cas vs Wensleydale
If cas play like they did against knotts last week then I'm going to go for a Wensleydale win, they're a totally changed team from the beginning of last season and are my dark horses for promotion

Harrogate Pythons vs Hemsworth
This has a draw all over it, if I was to choose a winner I'd go Harro with them being at home

Leeds Medics and Dentists vs Stocks
Return of the students I'm going for a big leeds mess win

Leeds mods vs Knottingley
Another cracking in the making Leeds mods big lads against the hard hitting aggressive knotts team, if knotts can cut out the penalties they'll come away with the win if not it could be a long 80 mins

Old Otliensians vs Aire
I'd be shocked if aire get a result here, if OO's want to win this league these are the games they need to win and they will bonus point win aswell

Northallerton vs Sheffield Medicals
North at home for me  the students won't handle Norths pack

Skipton vs  Baildon
Baildon to get to winning ways against the new boys

So honey badger are you telling me a perfectly strong hit to the chest is above the shoulder? Head high? I don't think so, these were given yellow cards and when the cas players did the same they got a warning for it...where's the consistency? The cas 13 flew in with a swinging arm on a lad with 3 blokes on top him at the bottom of a ruck resulting in the knotts winger nearly being knocked out cold, so me honey badger is this a yellow or a red for you? It's a red card all day long and deserved a ban for the cowardly act! A head high tackle is punishable with a 10 minute break and a permanent break if it's a bad and intentional one (like the cas 13 swinging arm) the forces these lads run and get tackled at even at this amateur level are strong and you'd expect arm to slide up bodies to the shoulder but when it happens with both teams and only one get punished then you've to ask questions of the man in the middle! I see it as knotts being an easy target through a previous reputation but that's just me

Mud Pig, as we know any man who steps onto a rugby pitch is not a 'tart'. It is for safety reasons that the RFU have told referees to crack down on incidents which could lead to concussion or injury in rugby. Sadly, the truth is, we are not professionals, we have work to go to in the morning and as long as a Referee officiates the game in a fair and safe way i would say he has done his job to an adequate standard. Mentioning Castleford's 13 getting a yellow card alongside multiple of your players shows he is refereeing the game in a commensurate manner. What are your opinions on this?
Lads tackling putting good hits in chest height with cas players sliding down isn't a high tackle they're supposed to be rugby players not tarts the referees need to realise that ! And no mention of your 13 only getting a yellow for a swinging arm 4th man in one can only presume the ref got a special kiss before the game from one of the cas set up!
when did tackling below the waist only come in? Penalties cost knottingley today!  Cas the better team with discipline apart from their 13 coming in 4th man with a swinging arm...disgusting only received a yellow!

WOW cas coach you watched a different game to me! Dominant scrum? It was more even than that and your team should have had it easy with the knotts front line only having one prop (and 53 yr old at that) and the first penalty try was a joke 2 lads battling for the ball with the home player winning if it happened down the other end of the field you'd say you were robbed! I can see your pack struggling against the bigger pack teams and your line out needs loads of work but your game play and management was decent it'll see you past the lesser teams, i look forward to choosing a game next week to see what the rest of league has to offer

Made the trip to watch the local derby today and must say the better team came away with just one point. when did tackling below the waist only come in? Penalties cost knottingley today!  the man in the middle gave a penalty try in the first half when the cas 9 and the knotts full back was battling for a ball the full back won it and the ref gave a pen try to cas mind boggling! Cas the better team with discipline apart from their 13 coming in 4th man with a swinging arm...disgusting only received a yellow! Knotts the better at the lineout with the scrummaging looking fairly even possibly siding with cas as I understand knotts had 2 starting front row missing with a 53 yr old at loose head and a hooker at tight with a flanker as Hooker with a player returning from a long spell off but they held their own! The knottla scores coming through the centre of the field by hard running, slick passing rugby and Cas exploiting the extra men out wide for theirs it's a long season cas will be...I'll predict 3rd or 4th knotts around the same overall a cracking game of rugby

Aireborough v Harrogate Pythons
Home win for me, aire to get their season started this week with a forward dominated win
Baildon v Northallerton
North all day long nowt for Baildon here
Hemsworth v Sheffield Medicals
Hems knuckle scrapers to give the students a lesson will be a tight one though
Knottingley v castleford
Game of the week there's nothing like a local derby to get the juices flowing, knottla welcoming back big chez and with rumoured new additions have to be favourites at home, cas 2 wins form 2 against 2 of the the lesser teams in the league but they still need beating I'm going for a home win with the 4th best team in 5 towns winning streak coming to an end

Skipton v Leeds Medics and Dentists
Skipton to pick up the points here playing the medics just in time before the young ens start playing

Stocksbridge v Leeds mods
Going for a draw on a tight close game

Wensleydale v Old otliensians
Going for the cheese rollers here they've got better and better since the second half of last season home win

I'll be down to watch the 5 towns derby and can't wait for that

Think I'll be making the trip to knottingley to watch the game of weekend on Saturday. Will be good to see chez back in a shirt causing mayhem and to see if the reportedly new signings for both teams have fit in well, and if Fenton's correct to see the new forward on the cas wage bill is earning his keep !
