Plus, every one attending the later Yorks v Durham / yorksnet v Overseas matches, bring with them your own brass instrument and have a Guinness record attempt at the longest and loudest world brass ensemble decibel level by amateur players.  ;D

i love this idea!

the club should have an anual 'bring a loud musical intrument' match as a gimmick to get the crowds in and noise up. i'm sure brb will be more than capable of banging a drum...

Looks like Brid's brand of dirty, sorry 'abrasive' rugby is set to be offset by their fetching new kit for the big occasion, designed by none other than Daffyd from Little Britain!

It takes a real man, one who is completely in touch with his sexuality, to pull off wearing pink...

No the brid winger is a mate of mine. as far as i know he has always played union! providing we are talking about the same fella this is! got a decent ban not so long ago?

if we're talking about the same lad (tall, pretty, and likes to take pictures of himself topless to post on social networking sites - i'm not kidding) then he plays rugby league in the summer for scarborough pirates along with a couple of the other brid boys.

i wouldn't mind rubbing some wintergreen into his bulging thighs i can tell you!

brid winger/fullback is also a rugby league player from what i hear, that'll be where he gets the thuggery from! as for his hair cut, i quite like, makes him look quite sexy, or REEM as the kids these days say!

As it happens the level the first team plays at doesn't really form any part of our plan.

just as well...

The Leeds Rhinos squad were at Silver Royd this morning Steve. You could have called up for something to do.

are scarbs finally turning to the dark side?!

Yes, but BRB's valid point is that the Kelvin McKenzie's of this world make QT more entertaining. Bland career politicians with middle ranking ministerial and shadow posts need a bit of stirring up. By all accounts the recent Brid/Scabs game was a dire spectacle whichever side you're on, and to make something of the game in a report at all is some sort of achievement, yes?

i would not deny any of that, sir.  :)

As any good reporter would (as he is), I image he is delighted that his work is prompting so much debate!

he's like the kelvin mckenzie of the rugby press! he'll be on question time spouting spurious non-sensical right-ring nonsense in a few short weeks if he keeps this up!
