Yeah BM I agree, bit of controversy is required i think. As for bob...can you address lonely dentist on his own? As he is hardly speaking on behalf of our whole club, you don't say Goole when you speak to insider or yiphee. Tbh I'd never read a post of yours until this thread so not really sure what its all about!

He's at LMD you literally can't miss him....at least he gets it going, couple of weeks ago there were no predictions on a Friday night for the Saturday game. Very quiet forum this year....but for skiptons loaded reports and insiders poor chat we would have nothing to talk about!

Aire- Grovians struggling off recent, Aire to nick it at home
LMD- Bramley always a tough game, especially against us but us to come out on top
Burley- on a bit of a run, scoring tries for fun atm, has to be them at home
Castleford- too strong for pythons
Goole- still on a high from their top result last week
Skipton
Thorne- a real tight game this one, but home advantage to prevail against a strong Mods side.

Good luck to all!

Yorkshire 3 / Re: Skipton should have won at Medics
« on: September 24, 2013, 06:44:18 PM »
Having watched the game on saturday from the sideline it appears that the Skipton reporter must have been watching a completely different game. Not only do they not give any real credit to a medics side buoyed by the return of some regulars but they also makes the solitary Skipton try sound like the most amazing try ever. I know we all like to make our tries sound great but a simple catch a drive and then stiff arm to ten from 5 metres out is an ok try but really?

In a game where you spend its majority without the ball, losing 4 tries to 1, you lose because you deserve to really.  I'm not sure of this so called 'intensity' when I expected more of a side coming from Y2, if they think they are going to waltz into Y3 and go straight back up when they really did lack the physicality and creativity of other teams in this league, they are soon going to have to readdress their expectations.

By all means big up your side on your report but respect the opposition and give credit where credit is due in future.

No nothing...we did have a number of regulars missing despite a huge effort from others to come up in time for the season and do a weeks pre season. But make no mistake...old mods are new and improved, even for the team we had out we should not have lost by the margin that we did. We were poor. We will get stronger however and bounce back, but it needs to happen fast as the slow starts kill our season.

Some really tight games and a great win for OGs at one of the hardest places to go in northA, really does show their credentials for this year. Had a few run ins with them in Y4 and they are a top quality side and will be fighting up there come the end of the season.

Yorkshire 3 / Re: Predictions for next season
« on: June 04, 2013, 11:14:56 AM »
hmmmmm...I definitely think Grovians will be strong next year and be there or there abouts next season, I do think it all depends on how they adjust to Y3 as it is most certainly a higher standard than Y4, I played the year we were promoted then last year in Y3, teams are much tighter in defence and can actually run moves that go outside 12 and go wide.

It will all depend on who prepares the best and starts well, look at Old Rish who finished 6th/7th two seasons ago and then won the league at a canter last. I am certainly backing us the medics to push this year. We had a very poor start last year and that ultimately cost us always being on the back foot and chasing. We will be preparing better this year and look forward to a hard season.

Great game at Baildon today....worthy of those battling at the summit of the table. The loss was really hard to take as it effectively puts Baildon out of reach. Controlling the game at 6-0 and then in front at 9-3 but the defense gave and went 13-9 down. Heads dropped and they capitalised. A gritty victory to Baildon and we at LMD congratulate them on what has got them one foot in the door to Y2. I did find it a bit odd however that the ref embraced one of their lads after the whistle :S bit inappropriate for a game of such magnitude.

Well done on a good win lads.

Yorkshire 3 / Joint Points at the End of Season??
« on: February 24, 2013, 11:50:44 AM »
The race for 2nd place is really tight as all can see with 3 teams joint on 66 points. I was just intrigued to see if anybody knew what the ruling was if this was the case at the end of the season? Is it the team who has won the most games? Scored the most? Best points difference? head to head?

Still a few games left with some big clashes but a point I think none the less.
