Just a reminder that the deadline for entries to the Sheffield Tigers Qualifier on the 25th May, is next Wednesday (22nd May).

If you want to enter and haven't yet, get your forms sent in ASAP.

  • Open to all clubs or teams
  • Multiple entries per club welcomed
  • Entry to the event £10 per team
  • BBQ and Hog Roast Running All Day

Well done to The Grasscuters, who won the Cup, and The Crusaders, who won the Plate at today's Qualifier at Doncaster.

The Grasscutters, Flying Lizards, Baildon and Doncaster Wanderers have all booked their place at the Finals Day at Thorne.

Congratulations also to Sheffield Ladies who were the winners of the inaugural South Yorkshire Women's 7s!

York RI Ladies picked up today's Fair Play award.

Special mention to Barnsley Ladies who made their first ever appearance as a team at today's event.

@YorkshireRugby is not me, but they do a great job.  It is a volunteer from South Yorkshire that runs the account.

I do however post on the @SouthYorksRugby Twitter Account, along with the other members of the South Yorkshire RDT.

The final is held at the club drawn first in Final, which is the Winner of Semi-Final 1.

This means it will be held at the winner of Wath and Sheffield Tigers.

Competition Rules Relating to Venue:

4.    VENUES AND OTHER MATCH ARRANGEMENTS.

4.1   The venue of each tie, including the final, shall be determined by the draw. Seeded teams will be deemed to be the away team in the preliminary and first rounds of the Competition. The matches will be played on the dates drawn, which will be on either the Tuesday or Wednesday evening of each week that the Competition runs.
