I saw Moortown have had a few call ups for the Yorkshire U20 game which has been rearranged for Sunday presumably that means they can’t play Saturday.
Great news for the club, but hardly ideal if it means they then can’t fulfil their fixtures, but I suppose that’s what a squad of for.

Why not rearrange the Yorkshire game for a few weeks time when less teams will have cup commitments?
The Moortown boys will be confused when there is no brown envelope in their boots when playing for Yorkshire!

You’re a boring gimp as well. Change the record you sad old loser.
Are gimps a common entity at Moortown?

I think that comment is a little premature.
Birkenhead are a good club and I am sure would love a day out in the sun at Selby!!

After two wins, Selby are looking good to get through to the next stage of the 🍕 cup.

Birkenhead Park, with two losses have no prospect of progressing and no particular incentive to come over from the dark side to fulfil, what for them is a pointless fixture.

I’m hoping that they don’t, but if Birkenhead scratch, Selbys position will be unassailable. Which would mean that the Brods v Percy Park game would then be a dead rubber.

Effectively, the mini league is over.
Is this how the suits envisaged the competition would be.

It seems to me that tagging the cup competition onto the end of the season is going to be wholly unsatisfactory.

However as a club who has paid for a period of time given their recent history in the national leagues, it would be difficult to imagine what the future of Gates 1st team would look like with out player payments, but at least the club would have a pitch for all those mini and juniors to play on.

I guess the pitch will take a few years of work to get the soil condition/drainage into proper shape.

As above
It would be difficult to imagine what the future of Gates 1st Team payments were stopped.

Not difficult to imagine ?-Looking at the other teams in the league - It is called bottom end of the table possibly bottom 2.

I haven’t mentioned any players names from Harrogate regarding payment, as I agree that discussing individuals on here isn’t right. However BBB you did ask for players to be name dropped, so can’t get on your high horse about it when it happened

As a club Harrogate require £15k of supporters money to carry out necessary repairs to the pitch….
I think it’s a more than reasonable assumption that gate players during the 2023/24 season received more than £15k in match fees alone. (£37 per player, per match on average)

And that’s what those on the outside looking in find fault with.  If player payments hadn’t been made the funds would be available. If next season the club didn’t pay players, the funds would be available.

However as a club who has paid for a period of time given their recent history in the national leagues, it would be difficult to imagine what the future of Gates 1st team would look like with out player payments, but at least the club would have a pitch for all those mini and juniors to play on.

With respect BBB I never mentioned any player regarding payment. I was merely seeking your inside knowledge on how much ££££ you lured Dobson away from Ilkley per game. As you rightly say you are more in the know at Gate than the rest of us mere mortals so please share your undoubted knowledge of all things Gatefinancial.

You never mentioned any player regarding payment, but you want to know how much a certain player is paid at Gate.......Sounds like the same thing to me
Even if I knew, I would not be sharing match fees on any player on a forum, regardless of how much you try.

Following the threads, there are numerous posts about gate player payments and budget. It seems to be the in topic at the moment, but the figures are laughable, but believe what you want to believe - I'm just trying to give some balance

I'm sure he would and that's why there is no one from Gate offering advice or knowledge of what any player gets paid on here.

However, there are many experts on the forum speculating how much Gate players get paid and even chucking figures out there for certain players

I would imagine that the said Mr Dobson would be appalled if a member of his club/ committee published his earnings on an internet forum

Yorkshire 2 / Re: Predictions

Unfortunately I am not able to post any further predictions, sorry.

No worries. It’s enough of a time consuming task at the best of times, let alone when you are trying to factor in walkovers left right and centre. Best of luck to all the Yorkshire teams remaining in the competitions!
