NE1 next season
« on: May 14, 2018, 07:22:15 AM »
So the league for next season is:

1.   Bradford & Bingley
2.   Bridlington
3.   Cleckheaton
4.     Consett
5.   Driffield
6.   Huddersfield Y.M.C.A.
7.   Malton and Norton
8.   Morley
9.   Morpeth
10.   Percy Park
11.   Pocklington
12.   Scarborough
13.   West Leeds
14.   York

That is making the assumption that Penrith move back over...

Is this right?

Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level. Lucky to be involved in England's number one ranked level 7 league...Yorkshire One.

Looking like this N1E settles the long standing debate as to the respective strengths of the Yorks and ND leagues.

You forgot Consett number 8 is missing.

I understand Penrith want to move back.

Hard luck to Driffield, but one can imagine their club treasurer might have not been too disappointed looking at all the local derbies for next season. Those at Elloughton will only be able to dream of half the crowds many of these fixtures in 2018/19 will now attract.
However, whilst the Eastern section of Yorkshire has all these derbies to come, there is also a little block on a map containing YMCA, B&B, Cleckheaton, Morley, West Leeds, who also have lots of derby games to look forward to.
Morpeth and PP are very nice clubs, not seen Consett but told it's now good, so this really is the league to be in I would think. But if you draw round the blocks of clubs mentioned above on a map, it's quite bizzare how it's worked out.

Possibly but the result at Kelleythorpe re-opens the one about whether N1E is better than N1W ?

Seems about right I would have thought, I hope it's not your prediction as to how the final table will look 😂😂
