It could be an interesting day today especially with YM and B&B both having easy home games.

Morley seem to have given up and therefore are likely to roll over and let YM tickle them whilst picking up a bonus point win.

Brid are struggling with available players just as B&B have hit top form so this could be a damaging one for Brid.

As for clec and PP.....PP hate travelling and clec seem to hate playing rugby so no idea what will happen here.

The NE derby should be a regular home win for Morpeth...who are gamely fighting to prevent the RFU renaming this league N1(Yorkshire).

The big unknown of the day is WL v Drif. Both have shown signs of sparking back into life. Drif were fortunate to catch Scarborough on an off day but did play well in the backs. And WL have put in a few good performances after a shocking start. One to watch as a bellweather for relegation avoidance.

York and Pock...another derby. The home side are struggling with missing jug drivers but apparently a number of premiership reserve players have been contacted and asked to come on loan. Things not looking good for pock... although I thought they were good when I saw them.

Scabs entertain Malton. Sold out hospitality (as it is next week against Brid). Big local derby...all the clubs around us lift their game against Scarborough and we always play rubbish... So no doubt some of you might enjoy coming on the forum tonight!!

Some tasty fixtures today.

I expect the first 20 minutes of the York v Pock game will be lively. York also sold out on the hospitality front today, so well done to all concerned there.

Although Scarborough should prevail against Malton, I think the Malton contingent will be testing the Scarborough Barbarians metal, so will see how much dog they have recruited from the Southern Hemisphere?

York should be congratulated for selling both their hospitality tables! Presumably the family and friends of the various loan players have swelled the ranks?? Make sure they know what colour York play in! ????

Scarborough won 40odd to 20odd. Long rain showers treated Malton to a few points.

Full blooded derby between 2 old rivals today with Pock deserved winners. York’s injury woes continued with losing talisman Fox in the second minute, however Pocks urgency a nd desire was stronger on the day , earning a bonus point win for Sean Bass on his return to Clifton Park.
Big crowd today in festive spirit, should be record bar takings today !

Imagine how much you would make if DAA actually bought some drinks rather than walking around drinking leftovers!

Won't a big bar take please the sports association??

Yes I know it was ; point being there was a fantastic rugby spirit on and off the pitch with , yes , the joint body enjoying the bar profits . Luckily not all rugby teams are as obsessed about money as Scarborough are .
