Old Crocs 17-27 Moortown

Moortown the bigger stronger side and always looked like winning comfortably. Started extremely well and raced into an early lead. Crocs usual number 8 playing at prop, our usual 12 at number 8.
Crocs rallied in the second half and brought the score to 17-24 and for a period had Moortown worried. Refreshing to see Crocs three tries (all scored by same winger) come from out wide where Moortown were leaky in defence.
Referee - missed a hideous spear tackle in the second half. Fully vertical and dropped.
Crocs now need to remain in the top 4 and come again with a bigger stronger pack next season. Our backs have proved today we can compete with the best.

Or Ref on opium. Fair play to Dinno. Played to their strengths albeit very boring. Couldn't watch that every week.

3 sin bins and horrendous penalty count cost Ponte. I heard the ref was on his way back to Mars after the game.

Hardly a classic, and Brods far from their best but still too good for Keighley on the day.   With the elements in their favour Keighley were ahead by a point at half time but Brods pulled away in the second half.  Keighley might have had a sniff late on when the Brods had a couple of yellows and were down to 13 men but we defended really well, stayed organised, and it was a fair result I think.

Brods likely disappointed that they didn't get the bonus point score but given how they capitulated in the same fixture last season a good result, especially given how many players they were missing.

A proper ding dong at Heath yesterday. Could have went either way but Beverley just scrapped it. Heath are definite favourites to go up ahead of Crocs and Pontefract. Just too far ahead of those two.

Think you will find that Moortown are definite favourites to go up - unless RFU have another surprise in store

I meant in the playoff. They are just too far ahead of Ponte and Crocs. But Moortown are worthy champions elect.

A very bizarre game that's for sure. Quite strange hearing the home crowd berating a referee for sin-binning away team players. Not really sure what was going on most of the time.

More importantly, how's the young lad who went to hospital? Hoping it was just over-caution and he's fine today.

Morning Burnsy, the young lad who was taken to hospital is OK, he had a CT scan as a precaution which came back clear, he's out for three weeks as he was also concussed, thanks for asking after him, much appreciated
