It's absolutely piling it down on the gold coast...so it's going to be damp underfoot at Silver Royd. This will undoubtedly suit the strong Consett set piece.

A few interesting games today.

Morpeth are hoping to improve their points difference against York Colts ....at the last count the expectation was a win by over 60 points.

West Leeds will be looking to send Brid closer to relegation whilst Brid will be attempting to opposite!

Morley are delighted to be playing the divisions whipping boys B&B (will they win again????)

A few other interesting ones on a big day for N1E!

Massive result today for Brid who now have three of there last four games at home, and have four winnable games left.

Any two from York downwards could be relegated with Consett. Some massive fixtures in the next round on the 23 March st the top and bottom. My picks Morley v Scarborough at the top, York v West Leeds and Brid v Malton in the drop zone.

York’s performance was woeful. Defensively they were very poor.
This game was over as a contest after 11 minutes when Morpeth scored their third try to go into 19-0 lead.
York kicked off and only touched the ball again to restart after the Morpeth 3 tries.
That said Morpeth playing into a very strong breeze were very good.
They deserve their position at the the table and were too good all round for York.
The Morpeth hosts were very good and other than watching York being put to the sword and the leek munchers winning, it could have been a most enjoyable day.
I think Morpeth will go on to win the league as they are the best team I have seen twice this season! Good luck to them.
As for York I thought the 55 points they have already accrued would be enough to secure safety, that may have been a little premature.
It is in their hands with 3 of the 4 to play at home. But they will need to show more acumen, desire and fight in spades to get the win they may need!
Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it.”

Agree with DAA 55 points may still be not enough. One or two wins may still be needed. Thankfully it is in our hands and the fixtures we have left seem to favour us. That said they aren't givens and shouldn't be taken for granted. A solid last 4 games will not only see us safe but should also be seen as a stepping stone into next season

YM V POCK

YM went 0-13 down after 20 minutes, then the gears changed.
They scored 4 unanswered tries. The centre combination ran the show, and the pock forwards couldnt handle Ym's  pace in the forwards. YM defended for 10mins on their own line with 13 players it looked more like a training excersize than a game. Pock couldnt find the gaps and got knocked back

With 4 games to go anything could happen within the top 4!

Yes there are still 4 teams in it at the top. Although looking at the fixtures one of the places will go to Morpeth. But Morley will play the biggest part in what happens at the top.

They could win all their games (including beating Scarborough and Morpeth) and still finish 3rd.

The real interest is at the bottom... Consett are relegated.

But the other places could go to anyone from York downwards.

I don't think I'd have the confidence to put money on any of the teams it's so unpredictable.

I'm amazed that Brid won away at West Leeds - WL seem to have gone all wrong again. Perhaps they are heading back down to Y3 in a slow painful death spiral? Oh well they enjoyed their few years in the sun....Halifax Vandals and Old Mods await them!

There seems to be no predictability about any of the teams down there which is making predicting in the Pundits league very tricky.

We have a week off now to think about it!
