Disappointed at the number of comments following today's games in Y1.
Congratulations to Moortown as Champions no but what a great performance by Orrufc to defeat Them. Seems unfortunate to not beat Hullensians in the last play of the dice.

Excellent win for Rish ...just not quite enough to stay up but a good fight.

Moortown won't be delighted with the loss but still an excellent season for them.
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

I was at Ponte yesterday then went straight out. Score may say it was a one sided game but Guisborough came with plenty of support to have an end of season celebration.

Well done to Rish in beating Moortown take that as something to build on for next season and bounce straight back.

Well done to Moortown worthy champions and Heath gaining the play off spot good luck against West Hartlepool.

Interesting that the two teams promoted from Yorkshire 2 in 2017/8 finished third and fourth in the table this time. Sets the standards for Goole and Leos next season.

Talking to the Guisborough folk there is a story doing the rounds that after two seasons on level transfer Middlesbrough want to return to D&N1, anyone know if it’s fact or fiction?

Drama at Springhead Lane. Knowing that Rish were winning, in the 79th minute Selby had a scrum on our 5m, we thought we were down. But we forced a turnover carried out to the 22, recycled the ball, put it through 6 pairs of hands then our winger scorched 3 Selby defenders to go in at the corner. Scenes.

Sums up our season. Well done to our lads for sticking at it. Hopefully we can kick on from this. It’s been a very tough year for us with limited resources. So over the moon to retain our Y1 status. Unlucky Rish, quite an effort to get 3 wins on the bounce at the end of the season, just glad we could match it!
