So some teams have clearly checked out and taken an early summer break, but there is still some very important fixtures for other clubs left to play.

Thorne vs Pythons, currently booked for the 4th May, assuming Thorne make it to Twickers, when is that game likely to be held? Comment from anyone at Pythons or Thorne is welcome.

Baildon vs Thorne, can’t see this one pencilled in anywhere in the England rugby website? Does anyone from either club know when it’s likely to be played?

Thorne appear to have a blank weekend on the 27th April...is that staying as is? Seems a bit much to ask for teams to be available to play until 25th May!

If it’s a dead rubber, the league secretary can cancel the game assuming both teams agree.

Stella are you talking about Baildon v Thorne, if so how can it be a dead rubber for Baildon, they are still in a relegation battle, cancelling does not appear to be a fair option for the others in the mix.

They aren't in a relegation though

Postie, you seem to be the only informed person in the Yorkshire leagues. Please enlighten us on where you have seen confirmation that the 12 team restructure is happening for the start of next
season ... Or are you just assuming your role as wind up merchant as per?

I think it will need to be played anyway as if Thorne win all there games they can potentially take second spot and gain promotion

This is as much of a mess as Brexit.

There is no 12 team restructure.
But you need to look at what’s happening above, Y1.
It means only one team coming down in the York’s leagues and this carries on down the league structure.
But, as Postie says, they aren’t in a relegation position - currently

Is that now 100% confirmed Stella?

I don't think option x is actually impacting relegation spots - it's more the location of the teams in the relegation places in the leagues above y1 that mean potentially only 1 relegation spot.

Thanks for sharing Stella. So although it doesn’t detail what the sutuation was at the start of the 2018/2019 season, it does confirm that the situation will remain the same for the start of the 2019/2020 season. As you can probably tell, I’m merely a player and not a man in the know, can I take from that that the situation at the start of 2018/2019 was that only one team would be relegated through the Yorkshire leagues? Maybe due to Guisborough heading back up North?

Also, still doesn’t really explain why the RFU have booked Thorne’s game against Pythons for May 4th rather than the 27th April!
