NE1 Dream Team
« on: April 09, 2019, 06:38:25 AM »
As the season draws to a close, thought a good topic for debate would be the NE1 dream team of the year. I will start things off:

1. Moody (Morpeth)
2.Dubois (Park)
3. Sandall (Morpeth)
4. Fox (York)
5.Black (YM)
6.Brankley (Driff)
7.Thomson (York)
8. Martin (Scarborough)
9. Elliott (Morpeth)
10. Johnson (Bees)
11.Perrett (Scabs) Needed to get him in somewhere
12. Stead (YM
13. Tait (Morpeth)
14. Magee (Bees)
15.Telford (Morpeth)

Just based on what I’ve seen this year! Interesting to see the opinion of others.

I can never remember much about individual players...so I'm rubbish at these.

Sorry don’t know names and not naming players from my own club....

YMCAs 12 is a decent ball carrier

Pocks 8 was a decent off the back of the scrum

Scarbs back row was physical. Really liked their 9, when we played them the other week the game changed when he went off

Morpeths front five are solid unit.

Morpeths 9 bosses them around the park and is fairly nippy

As I said BRB, can only judge on what I've seen so interesting to get other opinions and see which names keep reappearing!

Bacbarrowbandit, it’s a good job it’s not supporters of the year of giving back word to the referee of the year award, just reading the last few reports from RFU yorkshire Disaplinary and they make the Scabs look like a group of football Hooligans, I can post a link if you want.

I did like the Cleck scrummie, though a decent flanker would have snuffed him.
