this may be a bit of a curve ball... but why don't they move Douglas across

every away trip for them is massive and would include ferry/plane and bus. I can see there be much difference in anyones costs?

Chief Selector

They also had Tony Neary England and the Lions.

They did drift down when the game went open don’t think they managed that transition well.

I’m told they have an outstanding junior set up but loose many of those players when they head off to uni. Certainly know in greater Manchester for spending money on supporting and developing the game.

As you say nice club and NE1 clubs would enjoy the visit and be well looked after.
Looks like BP are the favourites...

My lad plays at Broughton Park having transferred there in January and Dare say some account should be taken of the time it can take to get to the other side of Manchester past the Trafford Centre and then in, before saying it’s the easiest to get to.

Stella, shouldn’t the distance to Driff be 113 miles? I’m pretty sure it’s not 36 miles away from Pock or Malt.

If you mean Penrith to Driffield, then 136 miles is correct.
Google has now decided Penrith to Malton is 107 miles. All academic as total mileage wise they are way above the other three.

Sorry for not being clear, I was referring to mileage from Kendal. As it’s around 16 miles from Pock to Driff then according to the figures you produced it would be only 123 miles if the route went via Pock. Anyway as you say it’s all academic, and no doubt the powers that be will surprise all of us.

Just checked.
Google algorithms now say Kendal to Driffield is 143 miles tonight
Malton and Pocklington both showing 107 miles.

So YMCA have made ex international Chris thorman their head coach for next year. With the squad they currently have and the potential rugby league recruites which look more than certain to happen, Who knows how far they could go. Should be an intresting summer at laund hill.

From another forum, it appears that Kendal after relegation from North Premier last season will play in North West One which means level transfer will be needed and I understand that Stockport will play in North East One next season.

I'm pleased the RFU are cutting down the travelling time, if Stockport get level transferred that's a 5 hour round trip for Percy Park. I think Burnage have also been asked to volunteer to go to N1E and have respectfully declined.
