Over on the easy coast for the weekend at the Brid Ponte game

Brid 5 Ponte 10 two tries to one. Brid had a big pack and tried to exploit it by playing the power game but Ponte largely contained them. Typical Ponte side lots of runnng the ball. Glenn Boyd kicked well and kept Brid back in there own half.

Brid scrum half a class act I also rated the Ponte 7 who was quick to get hands over the ball and slow or stop Brid.

Excellent hospitality as always at Brid always a pleasure to visit.

Stop start affair over in Hull with 50+ set pieces and a fair amount of downtime for injuries and a lack of match balls meaning it never really got going.  That said, Brods will be happy enough with what they did produce between set phases and 5 tries to one isn't to be sniffed at as it's often a tricky trip for them.  Still plenty of room for improvement for both teams I reckon.
