I wonder if Woody wants to enlarge upon his statement because maybe the “under”needs to be changed to “over”.
A team full of young lads who go hammer and tongs but being young does not confer the right to be naive as well. It’s hard to see any set pattern of play at the moment and set pieces cause real concern as they are not competitive for the majority of the time.
They have good runners out wide but support play is either lacking or the wrong options are chosen. The forwards have plenty of energy but size plays a big part especially with a no.8 who is one of the biggest but offers nothing around the maul or ruck, he is often stood at the back watching or even drifting out to centre, perhaps he should be called “sidewinder”.
Overall I reckon some work is needed to produce a game plan that gives them a chance bearing in mind the type of players they have at the moment.
