Skipton 5 - 38 Knottingley

So I'm told a great performance from the boys to keep up the unbeaten start to the season. Up the worms! ????????

Up the worms ????????????

Skipton competed first 20 mins and gave us a game. No luck needed and a big 5 points.

Would like to offer any Sheff Meds lads the chance for our up and coming fixture in sunny Grottingley to offer some ‘banter’.

Met Sheeptown lad good lad.

Much love Mr F**** G

Ossett vs Vandals.

Decent well competed first half. Second half we went to sleep and Ossett didn’t. Good set of strong lads. Will be fine this season.

We couldn’t be much worse than that second half display. And we won’t be that bad against a good Leeds Corinthians side next week or our coaches will probably suffocate us in our sleep.

Well done again to Ossett. Good hospitality after the game too, getting food and jugs in.

UTV.

Ensians found themselves losing 0 - 17 at about 30 minutes despite having the lions share of possession in a somewhat lackluster first half hour performance.

Once the lads woke up though it was mostly 1 way traffic scoring 47 unanswered points to make it 47 - 17.

Cas had good spells and certainly fancied the job first half. Cas have a good 8, 10 and fullback but I think we had a good advantage in the backs and maybe a touch more fitness.

Cas away will be a different kettle of fish though and good luck to them for the rest of the season.

Hemsworth 19 baildon 5
Seems baildon lacked some strength in depth as they may have been missing half the team but couldn’t rise to the occasion.

Although we had 10 unavailabilities from last week, you cannot take anything  away from Hemsworth today, they deserved the win .

They had the desire, mind set and togetherness to turn us over and they did so with ease.

We were extremely poor, and you cannot afford to had a poor performance in this league because every single team in Y3 are more than capable of performing and winning with the right attitude, and that’s what hemsworth did today...

Fantastic hospitality after the game, and the nicest thing is they are a family club .... players, wives , kids and pets all in the club after the game, and everyone with smiles on faces... that’s what this game is all about.

We will be back training on Tuesday and working in what went wrong this week.... and we will go again on Saturday...
as previously mentioned , hats off to Hemsworth , and I’m sure if they play like they did today, they will start to move up the league..

we wish you well for the rest of the season and look forward to the reverse fixture !

Yes, my scrum cap is wee coloured...

In true vandals style we....
Turned up with no match shorts  (until 3:05pm)
Warmed up on a cricket pitch
Had a ref that softly sin binned 6 players!

No excuses though, turned up as late as our shorts and lost to a well drilled ossett side. Big improvements needed!
