Ponte 15 Keighley 19

Really poor first half lots of effort but also lots of mistakes, which cost both sides points. 7 nil to Pontefract at half time.

Better second half from both sides, Ponte scored first with an unconverted try but then mistakes and a needless yellow allowed Keighley to score three tries.

Long season for both sides unless they improve quickly.

Brods 20 Selby 5

I had hoped to see Grimsby's take on the Brods/Selby game but it seems not to be, and I can't compete with his wit.

Brods maintained their 100% record with probably greater ease than the score suggests. Unfortunately goal kicking was at a premium as none of the 5 tries were converted with Brods getting their foursth for a bonus point. It was an entertaining game from the neutrals point of view and Selby will win far more games this season than they lose and will hopefully be challenging for a top 4 place, but they found one too good in Brods. Selby are a great set of lads and one of the stalwart clubs of this league, greatly respected by everyone, and they are always welcome at Woodhead.
Never argue with an idiot, he'll bring you down to his level and beat you with experience!

Love going to OLD BRODLEIANS, some old familiar happy faces who ive known as ex team mates and foes for 40 years. Well looked after as normal and nice for once not to be targeted by the crowd as i wasn't in the dug out. Fair assessment of the game, Selby had their chances but poor decision making probably cost us at least a point. 14 home grown players against 14 home grown players, good for local rugby although i do like the Tongan in the Brods second row a bit of a strong ball carrier and workhorse. Thanks for your hospitality we will reciprocate
