Ring fencing of the Rugby Union Premiership
« on: December 17, 2019, 09:08:01 PM »
Just wondered what people thought regarding the possible ring fencing of the teams in Rugby unions Premiership?

I feel it is a distinct possibility that Premiership rugby will announce its intention to ring fence the league to protect the top teams and to avoid the demotion of either Saracens, Leicester, or Wasps.

There is also the liklihood of other points deductions taking place....Sale Sharks are a possibly alleged name...

After watching half a season of Championship rugby there is only one team who could currently compete.....Newcastle Falcons.

But should we stop the dream?

Ealing doing great things with their academy and have funding. Cornish Pirates are building a plan for 5 years time.

What if in a couple of years time some millionaires want to fund a Yorkshire club?

There should be a route but not automatic relegation and promotion.
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.
