Football managers vs rugby coaches
« on: December 05, 2019, 05:18:56 PM »
Looking how the football premiership get rid of their coaches, are rugby clubs more patient, indecisive, I.e Leicester, or is it still a case of he's a good club man? To mirror that in our local rag, weekly their is football managers / coaches losing their jobs, don't really see at rugby at local level, again are clubs even though most / some get paid just happy to have someone there on a Tues and Thurs night, partly coaching and partly trying to put a side out for Sat.

I know mate haha thanks and in response to your post think there's  a little moreoyalty in rugby than football without a doubt. Very cut throat and results based in footy, think rugby is more lenient. Think it depends what level you are at in terms of amateur coaches to be honest, lower the league the happier you are to have a coach with you every Saturday.

I think the financial pressure to stay in the football premier League is so immense it makes loyalty hard...
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

I think the point that most clubs are happy that a coach turns up and gets a side out is the most important thing , there is no longevity in coaching unlike playing , Coaches are a godsend for grassroots clubs, and are usually a integral part of the club , but I do think there is more loyalty in Rugby than football
