So, Ilkley’s first batch : Scarborough, Consett, Durham City, Malton & Norton, Morpeth and Bradford & Bingley. Was it not supposed to be the ‘local’ clubs first ?

Next batch - Moortown, Pocklington, Cleckheaton, Heath, Driffield, Old Brods and Morley.

Difficult for Scabs to have many local fixtures. Have to say though, that is a really bizarre split. Really bizarre.

The choice was to draw a north-south line, which is what seems to have happened, or an east-west one. The two clubs that didn't fit either of those was Ilkley and Consett, so north-south it is.

Swap Ilkley & Bees over for Pocklington and Driffield, would make more sense.

Don’t know what sort of atlas you are using but how can B&B and Ilkley be further north than Pock and Driff.
I know the RFU probably cannot afford , sat nav or route finder etc but I have an old school road atlas they can have, it might help them see the error of their geography.

It's like a 5 year old child came up with these "local" conferences...we drive past Driffield (30mins) to reach Ilkley (2hours +)….... really local.

I think the RFU has been excellent during Covid...good communication and good support. Why is it as soon as it comes to leagues they perpetually and consistently F it up!!!

It’s all to do with Northumberland. They wanted two clubs to be near the A1!
