Thornensians have posted on Facebook the tragic loss of "OJ", which may have resulted in their not playing this weekend. Have sent condolences from Ripon.

I've heard Wibblesdale are coming up with a ghetto blaster 2moz and are gonna show the Corinthians how to treat the referee properly, they are gonna have a little huddle, make the referee feel welcome and have a little sing song, those who are Scottish will know the song well except the words boogie have been replaced with lick it!

A free weekend meant I got to see some ‘in person rugby’ - location: Brownberrie Lane to see the much talked about ‘magic carpet’ in the local derby again Grovians.

After Grove went 26-0 up after 30 minutes (with their fullback scoring all the tries) it looked like it could be a long day at the office for the leagues favourite Anglers. Yarnbury (not at all Yawnbury) then went on to score 28 unanswered points - securing the comeback win in the last play of the game! A great game of rugby to watch!

Points to take away:
- Grovians must feel like that was a massive kick in the b*******, more cardio required?!
-Yarnbury need to work on their turnstile defence and take the skates off their scrum

Other interesting points:
- no Gate fee at Yarnbury, a positive for anyone looking after the pennies
- there were more dogs there than crufts, bad for anyone with allergies

I did ask people not to post inane irrelevant drivel on the predictions page.
However had you been in the league I may have awarded you (or Google) half a point
for remembering the lyrics of a half-baked 70s disco song performed by a
couple of Spanish birds.
