Sadly no argument and it may be worse than the article suggest. It’s also not just a Yorkshire or northern issue. There are similar issues in areas that I always considered to be rugby areas like the south west and the East Midlands.

Rugby needs to be DEPOWERED at grassroots level or it will die, simple.

Not been on for a while and saw this post.

I think this article is claptrap......We just need a complete overhaul of the pathway, league structure and viewing of the international game. Rugby, if it becomes more accessible in schools and has more of a focus across all demographics it could do really well.

Rugby is accessible to schools it’s whether the school can be arsed getting its teachers to commit to offering it and running it competitively against other schools.

It is on it inside-centre in my opinion the game that is due to failings across the board but as you say it could do really well with the right ppl running it.
