Congratulations to Wharfedale Foresters who won the Premier Merit League Final against Sheffield 2 31-23. A very good game and either team would not look out of place in Yorkshire 1. Well done.

Nice try, thankfully they won't be anywhere near Y1.

Well speccly

You need to change the optics dear boy .

I had a bimble across to Ponty yesterday afternoon …. Enjoyed the game … competitive reasonable standard …. Not many watching I thought .

I’ve seen plenty of rugby in Yorkshire leagues this year and personally thought the teams would be ok in y2 . .. just my opinion of course and it seems it’s irrelevant anyway as Stellers infers. Stand out player for me was the Sheffield centre who looked like Boris Johnson’s b’stard love child with Angie R … by eck he had some rattle as well .

At least the Foresters should have been fresh having only played 5 games so far since christmas. If those players want to play every weeknt hey should go to a club near to them who play in the leagues. Just as three did from Wharfedale last year to Keighley. I know from speaking to them recently that they love it. Just saying!!!

Yes all 4 of them love it, competitive rugby every week, with the possibility of promotion, what’s not to like!

Went across to watch Wharfedale at home to Rotherham yesterday.
Have to say it was a cracking game and both sides played their part.
That said neither side worked out the kicking the ball uphill high into the wind isn’t going to give the desired result.
A good afternoon out.

Also went to Wharfedale for a change
Big Rotherham side were snuffed out by the great Wharfedale defence.
Did not think both teams kicked very well- especially Roth first half.
Wharfedale hooker had a great game
Good crowd, good home win and a good day
