Northallerton game didn't happen by mutual agreement. Can't remember exactly, but it's somewhere in one of these chat threads.

Ripon 24 - 17 North Ribblesdale - a close run thing and after a half time deficit of 5 - 10 Ripon made harder work of it than they perhaps needed to. Credit to Ribb - they have an effective set piece and some pretty pacey and elusive chaps out back. After a couple of less challenging pre-season outings, Ripon happy to start the league season with a proper test and decent enough win at home.

Having had a chance to watch the game back now and reflect it was certainly a baptism of fire for us on Saturday. Wensleydale showed us what the Y2 level is in terms of possession, territory and control. It’s always frustrating to lose a game having scored more tries than your opponent but it demonstrates the necessity for us to be more clinical at this level. Plenty of positives to take from our performance though and we look forward to bouncing back!
