Just had a look at the survey - what a farce.

It does not give you any opportunity to voice your opposition to the law change. Just merely looking at the wording of how they can ram this through whilst making you think that you have been consulted.
The old "when we want your opinion, we'll give it to you" trick.
Nothing changes with that lot.

I suppose the RFU will overlook the injury to Garry Ringrose this afternoon.

The RFU have now completed their 'survey'.
It would appear "when we want your opinion, we'll give it to you" is still their policy.

This from their statement.
"Everything you have told us is now being independently analysed by the research company YouGov. This independently verified feedback, will be presented to the RFU Council ensuring your views are directly heard.

Once the RFU Council have fully reviewed your feedback, decisions will be taken on the proposed law variation and game regulations. Further updates will be provided towards the end of April and we will then provide a range of materials including virtual and in person training and education tools to enable the tackle height reduction to be implemented as smoothly as possible. These materials are being developed using the views, ideas and needs you have shared with us.

We learned a lot from this process and are determined to maintain this two way dialogue so we can keep improving our support for the game. "

And independently verified by YouGov. What a joke.

Well, we got our first victim of these new tackle laws yesterday. Lad taken to hospital. Asleep before he hit the ground.
Absolutely no foul behaviour by the tackler or ball carrier. Knee to the head then a cut to the head from the boot of a player tripping over him.

Ouch, sounds like a series of unfortunate events. Damned if we do or don't though and having seen a few clotheslines hung out yesterday, it does seem to be the lesser of two evils, particularly if cards aren't handed out and players replaced due to head injuries return to play.

Hope he is ok Stella and 100% agree not a chance he would have aimed his tackle at that height pre rule change. Looked really bad and yes totally chalk one bad concusion and hospital trip down to the RFU. Hope he is ok and back on the pitch in a few weeks.

We've had a concussion and three trips to A&E for head wounds already this season thanks to 'low' tackles. These new laws are bloody stupid and are getting refereed differently every week. I don't blame the refs though, they are in an impossible situation.

Call me cynical but i strongly suspect the RFU will have absolutely no interest at all in gathering any data about number of concusions which coaches believe are due to the new law - personally i can see some law suits heading their way as it is not as if they were not told of the increased risk of concusions from this change (they dont seem to give a stuff about grass roots rugby, but they probable are quite littagation sensitive)

Funnily enough, i was checking yesterday to see if there is any reporting process to follow. Seems there isn't. Only one i know of is the GMS match card report. I know of that as i recieved an email telling me we had a concussion. Never recieved one before so just shows how infrequent an occurence it was at our level before the RFU over reacted.
Only reporting process i know of is that CRISP survey run by Bath Uni in conjunction with the RFU. All i can say about that is if anyone is filling in that survey then they really do have too much time on their hands.
