Halifax RUFC Ladies has a vacancy for a player coach to push the club forward. Training twice weekly and available to play Sun afternoons and additional hours in agreement
NB: we don't have any full time positions available.
If you are confident and out-going, great with experienced and inexperienced players and juniors, reliable, organised and enthusiastic we'd love to hear from you.
Halifax RUFC was founded in 1919 in its current name and recently celebrated its centenary. It has 2 senior mens sides, 2 senior Ladies sides and a mixed ability side who took part in the biggest mixed ability rugby tournament in Ireland last year. The club also has plans this season to resurrect its junior section to support all senior teams. A major restructure of the grounds is also in progress to further support our ambitions to develop and progress the club.
Role:
To develop alongside our current Ladies DoR and Head Coach a coaching and playing strategy that enables the players to fulfil their potential and help the club aspire to achieve promotion in a sustainable manner.
Duties:
Shape and help implement a rugby philosophy that can be consistently applied by all teams across the club in pursuit of their competitive objectives.
Plan the coaching programme with the DoR and Head Coach for pre-season and during to support the development of player skills at all levels of experience which will be challenging and effective.
Evaluate match performances and training sessions with the coaching team and use of video analysis. Attend training twice weekly and matches with the 1XV squad.
Assist with coaching across the clubs other sides as and when required.
Application requirements:
Preferable but not essential a minimum of Level 2 coaching award Played and/or coached at Championship1 or Premiership level. Good understanding of the modern game
