Hi mate, would love to keep on reporting weekly… but no one wants to travel to beautiful Halifax and play us.
We have had to lend players to almost every team just to come… Hornsea pulled out Thursday as they didn’t want to travel… so unfortunately I don’t have much news. Hoping Hessle, Stocksbridge, Otliensiens, York RI all come to Halifax to put some money behind the bar as we did for them.
Sorry for sounding negative, but it’s getting tedious lending players to teams… or only playing 60mins a game. We would never not travel… that is a promise.

It is disappointing when teams call off at late notice. Went to watch Mosborough last week only to find Knaresborough had not travelled

Last game I saw was when Halifax came down ( with a large contingent) . I missed the first twenty minutes when Halifax threatened to run amok. After that seemed a fairly even game

Having to watch the international in front of tv this afternoon

Been down to watch a bit of higher league rugby today… half of rugby at Heath v Sandal, then the rest of the game at crocs v Pocklington. So a good rugby fix. Then all on for training this week to go to Rowntrees next week. And yes… we will travel with a gull team and many others for a good day out in York. Be safe everyone

Yep.  it's a challenge only the top 3 in the division can boast of travelling and having good numbers   ,   what will happen when the new laws regarding tackling arrive   god only knows.

Hands in Ruck… I know you will come. Good club and the first game was a cracker. We are looking forward to the challenge. See you next week.
Some good scores this week. The battle for the top spot is definitely heating up.

JB, how come Hornsea have not had a points deduction for not travelling to you?

No idea. But it’s poor form as to the amount of games this season, where teams just call off the game when they have 14 players for an away game… but 400 for a home game!!!
On that, huge praise to Mods, Knaresborough who both try and get every game on. We lent both players, which helps us get guys games, but they show what true sportsmanship is. It’s sad that we had loads of away games early on… always took big numbers, and supporters, but this is not reciprocated when it’s our home game. Sad that grass roots sport is dictated by teams just not bothered about travelling. Moan over. Onto a big game with our friends from  Otliensians next week.
